Abstract: Systems and methods include obtaining measurements from a Wi-Fi network that includes i) a plurality of access points interconnected to one another and at least one connected to a gateway, and ii) a plurality of Wi-Fi client devices that each connect to an access point of the plurality of access points; learning usage patterns in the Wi-Fi network through analysis with one or more machine learning algorithms; and providing a configuration to the Wi-Fi network based on the learned usage pattern where the configuration includes a topology of the plurality of access points.

Abstract: A compact electronic device for wireless communication is disclosed. The compact electronic device includes a main printed circuit board, one or more antennas, at least one conductor, and a shell. The one or more antennas are configured for wireless communication. The at least one conductor being configured to provide at least one of control signals and power to a fan. The shell mounts the fan relative to the main printed circuit board. The shell includes walls forming a cavity. The walls encapsulate the conductor in the cavity.

Abstract: Systems and methods include obtaining measurements from a Wi-Fi network that includes one or more access points; determining a configuration of the Wi-Fi network based on the measurements, wherein the configuration includes one or more of i) steering a client device to associate with a specific access point of the one or more access points and ii) steering the client device to connect to a specific frequency band of the one or more access points; and providing the configuration to the Wi-Fi network for implementation thereof.

Abstract: A compact electronic device includes a base with a plurality of sides each adjacent to a bottom portion, wherein the base houses components comprising a heatsink supporting a fan module located in an interior portion, a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and a power supply, and wherein vents are disposed on the bottom portion and side vents are disposed on one or more of the plurality of sides; a top cover configured to attach to the base via the plurality of sides forming an air gap extending each of the plurality of sides, wherein the air gap supports air exhaust on one or more sides of the plurality of sides and air intake on the remaining sides; and an electrical plug connected to the power supply and extending out of the bottom portion for insertion into an electrical outlet for power and to physically support the compact electronic device.

Abstract: Compact electronic devices, such as Access Points (APs), having airflow and cooling features are provided. According to one implementation, a compact electronic device includes an outer plastic housing and an inner casing arranged inside the outer plastic housing. The inner casing has a high-voltage section configured to support one or more high-voltage electrical components and a low-voltage section configured to support one or more low-voltage electrical components. The compact electronic device further includes a single fan that is configured to draw air from outside the outer plastic housing, move the air through the high-voltage and low-voltage sections, and exhaust the air through one or more exhaust vents in the outer plastic housing. Also, the inner casing is configured to isolate the one or more high-voltage electrical components from metal portions of the low-voltage section by at least a certain separation to meet clearance and creepage safety standards.

Abstract: Systems and methods for gathering data by an access point in a Wi-Fi system for optimization include periodically or based on command from a cloud-based system performing one or more of i) obtaining on-channel scanning data while operating on a home channel and ii) switching off the home channel and obtaining off-channel scanning data for one or more off-channels; and providing measurement data based on one or more of the on-channel scanning data and the off-channel scanning data to the cloud-based system for use in the optimization of the Wi-Fi system, wherein the measurement data comprises one or more of raw data and processed data.
