Abstract: A payment device comprising of a housing, a slot for insertion of a user instrument located on a front surface of the housing, and wherein the housing includes a smart card interface integrated circuit that is configured to read an EMV chip located on the user instrument, and a universal serial bus (USB) type C male connector configured to be inserted into a female connector on a computing device, wherein the USB type C male connector is located on a back surface of the housing, and wherein a size of the USB type C male connector is configured so that when the USB type C male connector is inserted into the female connector on the computing device, the back surface of the housing is within a distance of three centimeters of a surface of the computing device.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a physical stand for multiple device orientations and peripheral card reader. A device stand may include a dock that allows for placement and securing of a computing device within the device case, such as through a locking or connecting mechanism. The device dock further includes a peripheral component, such as a physical card reader, that allows for reading and entry of card data into the computing device for use with an electronic transaction processing application on the computing device. This allows the computing device to process transactions electronic with an online service provider. Further, the device stand includes a hinge or joint that allows for rotating and inverting of the computing device over a curved extension from a base of the device stand, which allows the computing device to be viewed in multiple directions and orientations.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a smart harbor device for intelligent updating and selection for use of transaction processing terminal devices. A smart harbor device may be used to provide updating, servicing, and other maintenance of transaction processing terminal devices, such as EMV terminals used in retail transaction processing. The smart harbor device may include a port where the transaction processing terminal devices may be places, and the smart harbor device may connect to each of the transaction processing terminal devices. Once connected, the smart harbor device may run diagnostics to determine the statuses and conditions for each of the transaction processing terminal devices and maintenance the transaction processing terminal devices. The maintenance may be performed at times where the transaction processing terminal devices are not required for use. Additionally, the smart harbor device may intelligently select one based on statuses and device capabilities.

Abstract: A payer transaction device enables secure offline transactions using a secure element providing a secure payer account database, a secure ledger database, and a wallet application. While the payer transaction device is not connected to the Internet, the wallet application receives a payee identifier and a transaction amount and verifies that the transaction amount is less than an available payer account balance in the secure payer account database. In response, the wallet application creates a digital token that allocates the transaction amount from the payer account balance to the payee identifier, and records the digital token in a payer secure ledger in the secure ledger database, which reduces the available payer account balance by the transaction amount. The wallet application then transfers the digital token to a payee transaction device over a peer-to-peer wireless connection and, subsequently, the digital token is synchronized with a ledger tracking system through the Internet.

Abstract: Systems and methods for electronic fobs that communicate via short range communications protocols to conduct transactions with a nearby device are provided. Such electronic fobs may use electronic tokens to conduct electronic transactions, such as payment transactions. Account data may be stored within a secure element of the electronic fob. Electronic tokens may also be stored by the secure element. Using such data and/or tokens, electronic fob may write electronic tokens to be used in electronic transactions. Also, such electronic fobs may also be used to perform other tasks and interface with other devices.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a modular mobile point of sale device having separable units for configurable data processing. A modular device may include a main unit that includes data processing features to allow for a mobile point of sale, including a data entry unit for payment data, a communication component to secure communicate that data to a centralized transaction processor, and a processing unit to receive the data and instruct the centralized to process the data with an online service provider. The module device may also be physically and communicatively coupled to additional modules that may increase the on-device functionality of the main unit, include a module to allow user input and additional modules to accept other types of transaction input. On detection of a connected unit, the main unit may secure connect to and authenticate each attached module.

Abstract: Systems and methods for data visualization are disclosed. An example method includes: obtaining, via a user device, first user biometric data from a user; comparing the first user biometric data with first stored user biometric data. The first stored user biometric data are stored in a hardware secure element of the user device. The method further includes: determining that the first user biometric data matches the first stored user biometric data; and in response to the determining, transmitting a payment token to a merchant device. The payment token is configured to enable a payment to be made from a payment account associated with the user to a merchant associated with the merchant device.
