摘要： Implementations herein may include camless engines and methods for operating the same. An engine may comprise a cylinder including a cylinder wall, a piston, a compression ring disposed about the piston, and a cylinder head; a fuel injector in fluid communication with the combustion chamber; an air injector in fluid communication with the combustion chamber; an ignition device in communication with the combustion chamber; an exhaust port in fluid communication with an exhaust manifold and the cylinder; an angular position sensor configured to measure an angular position of a crankshaft in mechanical communication with the piston; and a controller configured to control the fuel injector, the air injector, and the ignition device.
