Abstract: An optical scan device includes an optical waveguide array, including a plurality of optical waveguides each of which propagates light along a first direction, that emits a light beam, the plurality of optical waveguides being arranged in a second direction that intersects the first direction, a phase shifter array including a plurality of phase shifters connected separately to each of the plurality of optical waveguides, a control circuit that controls a phase shift amount of each of the plurality of phase shifters and/or inputting of light to each of the plurality of phase shifters and thereby controls a direction and shape of the light beam that is emitted from the optical waveguide array, a photodetector that detects the light beam reflected by a physical object, and a signal processing circuit that generates distance distribution data on the basis of output from the photodetector.

Abstract: This invention solves the problem that objects in the field of view of reading glasses using multifocal lenses for correcting ocular refractive errors such as presbyopia appear distorted. This image display device is provided with the following: a distance computation unit that computes the distance to a subject in a field-of-view image; a visual-acuity-information acquisition unit that stores visual-acuity information for the user in advance; a corrected-image generation unit that generates and outputs a corrected image on the basis of the field-of-view image and an eye image generated from the field-of-view image, the distance information, and the visual-acuity information; and a display unit that displays the corrected image by superimposing same onto the user's field of view. Since the corrected image is superimposed without the use of lenses, lenses being the cause of the abovementioned distortion, the user can see close objects clearly.

Abstract: A distance measurement apparatus comprises a light emitter that emits a plurality of light beams toward a scene in different directions and at different timings, a light receiver that includes an array of a plurality of light-receiving elements and detects reflected light from the scene produced by the emission of each light beam with the plurality of light-receiving elements, and a signal processing circuit that generates and outputs output data including measurement data indicating the positions or distances of a plurality of points in the scene on the basis of a signal outputted by the light receiver. The output data includes the data of a plurality of blocks, and individual time data is attached to each of the plurality of blocks.

Abstract: A three-dimensional display device configured to display a main image and an additional image on a screen includes a display region candidate decider that decides one candidate region from a plurality of region candidates for the additional image to be superimposed on the main image on the screen, a depth suitability determiner that determines whether a difference between a depth of the main image displayed at a boundary region and a depth of the additional image is within a predetermined tolerance range, and an image composer that, when the difference in depth between the depth of the main image displayed at the boundary region and the depth of the additional image is within the tolerance range, superimposes the additional image upon the main image at the candidate region, thereby composing a composite image of the main image and the additional image, and displays the composite image on the screen.
