Abstract: An auxiliary power supply system includes a plurality of electrical storage devices that supply power to an electrical device. Each of the storage devices has the communication capability with the electrical device. Each of the storage devices provisionally selects one of a plurality of first communication addresses as a provisional communication address of its own. The plurality of first communication addresses have been set for the plurality of electrical storage devices by the electrical device. Each of the storage devices returns a response signal in reply to a transmission signal, to which the provisional communication address of its own is added. Each of the storage devices changes, when finding that any communication error has occurred while returning the response signal, the provisional communication address of its own into one of one or more unused communication addresses belonging to the plurality of first communication addresses that have been set.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vehicle electricity storage device capable of maintaining proper backup of a main power supply. The vehicle electricity storage device includes an electricity storage circuit, a main charge circuit, and a precharge circuit. The electricity storage circuit configured to supply stored electricity to a load. The main charge circuit operates to supply electricity of a main power supply to the electricity storage circuit when an ignition switch is in an ON state of allowing an engine to start. The precharge circuit operates to supply electricity of the main power supply to the electricity storage circuit when the main charge circuit is in a state of stopping operation by the ignition switch being turned off.

Abstract: An electricity storage unit of the present disclosure includes: electricity storage device; holder for holding this electricity storage device; bottomed tubular case for housing electricity storage device and holder; and cover for covering opening of case. At least a part of cover is inserted into case. With this configuration, since a surface on which a joint between cover and case is formed can be disposed on an opening side of case, it is possible to suppress intrusion of a foreign substance, such as a water droplet.

Abstract: A vehicle electricity storage device includes a capacitor unit for supplying stored electric power to an electronically controlled system, and a microcomputer including a memory. The memory stores a plurality of thresholds (internal resistance limit values) different from each other. Each of the plurality of thresholds is to be compared with an electrical characteristic value (internal resistance value) related to the capacitor unit for determining a deterioration state of the capacitor unit. The each of the plurality of thresholds is stored in association with an identification ID for identifying the electronically controlled system. The microcomputer acquires the identification ID from the electronically controlled system. And the microcomputer selects, from the plurality of thresholds, a threshold associated with the identification ID acquired. Then the microcomputer determines the deterioration state of the capacitor unit by using the electrical characteristic value and the threshold selected.

Abstract: A power storage device includes an input terminal, an output terminal, a first circuit, and a second circuit. The input terminal is to be electrically connected to a power supply. The output terminal is to be electrically connected to a load. The first circuit and the second circuit are electrically connected in parallel. Each of the first circuit and the second circuit are disposed between the input terminal and the output terminal. The first circuit includes a power storage unit and a discharge path that allows a discharge current from the power storage unit to flow toward the output terminal. The second circuit includes a blocking path that prevents the discharge current from flowing toward the input terminal.

Abstract: A backup power-supply system according to the present invention includes a detector, a power storage unit, and a controller. The detector is configured to detect an abnormality of a power supply that supplies electric power to loads. The power storage unit is configured to supply electric power to the loads when the detector detects the abnormality of the power supply. The controller is configured to monitor a remaining electric energy remaining in the power storage unit, and impose, when the remaining electric energy of the power storage unit is smaller than a threshold electric energy, a limitation on the loads to which the power storage unit supplies the electric power.

Abstract: A backup power supply system supplies power to one or more loads in a situation where a power supply has caused a failure. The backup power supply system includes a plurality of power storage devices and a switching unit. The plurality of power storage devices are charged by the power supply. The switching unit switches electrical connection between the plurality of power storage devices to either a first state where the plurality of power storage devices are connected to the power supply in parallel or a second state where the plurality of power storage devices are connected to each other in series. The switching unit switches the electrical connection to the first state while the plurality of power storage devices are being charged and switches the electrical connection to the second state when the power supply has caused the failure.
