Abstract: A method for controlling a discharge of a power storage device includes: a first step of discharging, in a first section of a discharging period, a part of an electric charge stored in a power storage through a first discharge path and a second discharge path of a discharge circuit; and a second step of discharging, in a second section of the discharging period, a remaining part of the electric charge through the second discharge path. The first discharge path includes a zener diode connected to one end of the power storage. The second discharge path includes a first transistor connected to the one end of the power storage. The first section is a period in which a voltage of the one end of the power storage is higher than a breakdown voltage of the zener diode. The second section is a period in which a voltage of the one end of the power storage is lower than the breakdown voltage of the zener diode. An output current of the first transistor in the second section is greater than an output current of the first transistor in the first section.

Abstract: An electricity storage unit of the present disclosure includes: an electricity storage device; a holder for holding this electricity storage device; a case having a tubular side wall part and a bottom surface part closing one end of the side wall part, the case being formed with an opening at another end of the side wall part; and a cover for covering the opening. The electricity storage device and the holder are housed inside the case. At least a part of the cover is inserted inside the case. An aperture is formed at least part of a region between an outer periphery of the cover and an inner surface of the side wall part.

Abstract: The electricity storage device control circuit includes a voltage detector and a voltage controller. The voltage detector is configured to detect voltages of a plurality of electricity storage devices. The voltage controller is configured to individually control the voltages of the plurality of electricity storage devices by performing, based on a detection result by the voltage detector, at least one of discharging or charging of electrostatic energy stored in the plurality of electricity storage devices.

Abstract: A backup power supply system supplies power to one or more loads in a situation where a power supply has caused a failure. The backup power supply system includes a plurality of power storage devices and a switching unit. The plurality of power storage devices are charged by the power supply. The switching unit switches electrical connection between the plurality of power storage devices to either a first state where the plurality of power storage devices are connected to the power supply in parallel or a second state where the plurality of power storage devices are connected to each other in series. The switching unit switches the electrical connection to the first state while the plurality of power storage devices are being charged and switches the electrical connection to the second state when the power supply has caused the failure.

Abstract: An auxiliary power supply system includes a plurality of electrical storage devices that supply power to an electrical device. Each of the storage devices has the communication capability with the electrical device. Each of the storage devices provisionally selects one of a plurality of first communication addresses as a provisional communication address of its own. The plurality of first communication addresses have been set for the plurality of electrical storage devices by the electrical device. Each of the storage devices returns a response signal in reply to a transmission signal, to which the provisional communication address of its own is added. Each of the storage devices changes, when finding that any communication error has occurred while returning the response signal, the provisional communication address of its own into one of one or more unused communication addresses belonging to the plurality of first communication addresses that have been set.
