    Abstract: A battery according to the present disclosure includes a power-generating element having a plurality of parallel laminates electrically series-connected and laminated. The parallel laminates each include an odd number of battery cells electrically connected in parallel and laminated. The battery cells each include an electrode layer, a counter electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer positioned therebetween. The battery further includes: an electrode insulating member covering the electrode layer on a first side surface of each parallel laminate; a counter electrode connector that covers the first side surface and the electrode insulating member and is electrically connected to the counter electrode layer in each parallel laminate; a counter electrode insulating member covering the counter electrode layer on a second side surface of each parallel laminate; and an electrode connector that covers the second side surface and the counter electrode insulating member and is electrically connected to the electrode layer in each parallel laminate.

    Abstract: A battery includes an electrode collector, two electrode active material layers, two solid electrolyte layers, two counter-electrode active material layers, and two counter-electrode collectors in this order, and includes a first insulating layer that covers side surfaces of the two counter-electrode collectors, the two counter-electrode active material layers, the two solid electrolyte layers, and the two electrode active material layers. A first region not covered with any of the two electrode active material layers is provided at ends of both principal surfaces of the electrode collector. A second region not covered with any of the two counter-electrode collectors is provided at an end of a principal surface of each of the two counter-electrode active material layers that faces toward a corresponding one of the counter-electrode collectors. The first insulating layer covers the second region. The electrode collector projects from an outer surface of the first insulating layer.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a laminated battery is a method for manufacturing a laminated battery in which a plurality of unit battery cells each having a negative-electrode layer, a positive-electrode layer are laminated, and a solid electrolyte layer located between the negative-electrode layer and the positive-electrode layer. The method includes laminating the plurality of unit battery cells and collectively compressing, in a direction of laminating, the plurality of unit cells laminated in the laminating. In the laminating, the plurality of unit battery cells are laminated in such an arrangement that two unit battery cells located at both ends in the direction of laminating are both lower in degree of compression than a unit battery cell located between the two unit battery cells.

The battery has an opening hole penetrating the positive electrode current collector, the positive electrode active material layer, the solid electrolyte layer containing the solid electrolyte, the negative electrode active material layer, and the negative electrode current collector in a laminating direction and further includes a sealing member. In cross-sectional view perpendicular to the laminating direction, the sealing member is located between the opening hole and each of the positive electrode active material layer, the solid electrolyte layer, and the negative electrode active material layer.
