Abstract: A battery includes a power-generating element including a plurality of battery cells each including an electrode layer, a counter-electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer located between the electrode layer and the counter-electrode layer, the plurality of battery cells being electrically connected in parallel and laminated, an electrode insulating member covering the electrode layer in a first region of one of a plurality of side surfaces of the power-generating element, a counter-electrode lead, electrically connected to the counter-electrode layer, that covers the first region and the electrode insulating member, a counter-electrode insulating member covering the counter-electrode layer in a second region of one of the plurality of side surfaces, and an electrode lead, electrically connected to the electrode layer, that covers the second region and the counter-electrode insulating member. The first region and the second region are located on an identical side surface of the power-generating element.

In a 31P-NMR spectrum of the sulfide solid electrolyte material, a first peak component, which is defined within a first chemical shift range from 87.6 to 88.4 ppm, has an intensity equal to or less than 0.42 times that of a second peak component, which is defined within a second chemical shift range from 83.6 to 84.4 ppm.
