Abstract: A remote control for controlling a luminaire is wirelessly controllable with a terminal device. The remote control includes: a receiver that receives an input from a user; a first communication circuit that communicates wirelessly; and a first controller that generates a control signal and transmits the control signal to the luminaire via the first communication circuit, in which the control signal corresponds to the input received by the receiver and includes identification information unique to the terminal device as a source address.

Abstract: Lighting apparatuses have a first communication mode in which the lighting apparatuses and a first or second communication terminal mutually transmit and receive a command and a second communication mode in which the lighting apparatuses forming a mesh network mutually transmit and receive the command. Among the lighting apparatuses that receive the command originating from the first communication terminal in the second communication mode, the lighting apparatuses that are not in communication with the second communication terminal in the first communication mode execute the command received in the second communication mode. On the other hand, the lighting apparatus that is in communication with the second communication terminal in the first communication mode maintains a current operating state without executing the command received in the second communication mode.

Abstract: An ear-worn device includes: a microphone that obtains a sound and outputs a first sound signal of the sound obtained; a DSP that performs determination regarding an S/N ratio of the first sound signal, determination regarding a bandwidth with respect to a peak frequency in a power spectrum of the sound, and determination of whether the sound contains human voice, and outputs a second sound signal based on the first sound signal when the DSP determines that at least one of the S/N ratio or the bandwidth satisfies a predetermined requirement and the sound contains human voice; a loudspeaker that outputs a reproduced sound based on the second sound signal output; and a housing that contains the microphone, the DSP, and the loudspeaker.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus among a plurality of lighting apparatuses in a wireless mesh network in a lighting system including the plurality of lighting apparatuses and a terminal which performs wireless communication with the lighting apparatus includes: a communication circuit which performs wireless communication; and a controller which controls the communication circuit. The controller establishes a connection with the terminal. When another lighting apparatus included in the plurality of lighting apparatuses transmits a signal (second signal) to the terminal using wireless communication, the controller receives the second signal via the communication circuit, and transmits the second signal to the terminal via the communication circuit.

Abstract: An illumination apparatus includes: a light source; a communication device that performs wireless communication, a timer that indicates a current time; a storage that stores scene information indicating a scene specified by at least one of dimming and toning, and an activation time indicating a time at which the scene indicated by the scene information should be activated; and a controller that, when the current time indicated by the timer reaches the activation time, causes the light source to emit light in a mode for the scene indicated by the scene information, and transmits the scene information and the current time via the communication device.

Abstract: A control unit in a communications device, upon receipt of information from a first lighting device, transmits the information from the first lighting device to a second lighting device and enters a single protocol state in which wireless communication is performed exclusively via a second communications protocol, until the communications device receives a response to the transmission. Upon receipt of information from the second lighting device, the control unit transmits the information from the second lighting device to the first lighting device and enters a single protocol state in which wireless communication is performed exclusively via a first communications protocol, until the communications device receives a response to the transmission. Upon receipt of either of the responses by the communications device, the control unit enters a multiprotocol state in which wireless communication is possible via the first and second communications protocols.
