Abstract: An assistance apparatus includes a first wire and a second wire that couple an upper-body belt and a left knee belt to each other on or above a front part and back part of the body of a user, respectively, a third wire and a fourth wire that couple the upper-body belt and a right knee belt to each other on or above the front part and back part of the body of the user, respectively, a motor, a left sensor on the left hand of the user, and a right sensor on the right hand of the user. When a left sensor value of the left sensor is larger than a right sensor value of the right sensor, the tension of the first wire and the second wire is made greater than the tension of the third wire and the fourth wire. When the right sensor value is larger than the left sensor value, the tension of the third wire and the fourth wire is made greater than the tension of the first wire and the second wire.

Abstract: An assistance apparatus includes first to eighth wires that couple an upper body belt to be worn on an upper body of a user to a first knee belt and a second knee belt to be worn above a left knee and a right knee of the user, respectively, and a motor. In a case of assisting the user in turning left, the motor generates, when a right leg of the user is in a stance phase, a tension larger than or equal to a first threshold in each of the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth wires at an identical timing. In a case of assisting the user in turning right, the motor generates, when a left leg of the user is in a stance phase, a tension larger than or equal to the first threshold in each of the first, third, fifth, and seventh wires at an identical timing.

Abstract: A walking assistance apparatus includes a knee fastener, a heel fastener, a first wire and a second wire connected to the knee fastener and the heel fastener, a first motor connected to the first wire, a second motor connected to the second wire, and a control circuit that controls the first motor and the second motor. The first wire is connected to a first position included in a right-half region of the heel fastener. The second wire is connected to a second position included in a left-half region of the heel fastener. The control circuit acquires gait information of the user, and, based on the gait information, the control circuit controls the first motor to reduce a length of the first wire and the second motor to reduce a length of the second wire at a predetermined timing.

Abstract: A pulse wave measuring apparatus includes a visible light receiver having a first surface and a pulse wave calculator. When a vehicle with the visible light receiver is viewed from a side, the first surface is in a first region between a first optical path of first reflection light and a second optical path of second reflection light, first light comes from an eye of a user on a seat of the vehicle, second light comes from a cheek of the user, an upper end of a rearview mirror of the vehicle reflects the first light to produce the first reflection light and reflects the second light to produce the second reflection light, and the pulse wave calculator calculates a pulse wave of the user on the basis of a waveform of visible light received by the visible light receiver via the first surface and outputs the calculated pulse wave.

Abstract: An assistance apparatus includes wires, each of which couples an upper-body belt and one of left and right knee belts to each other, and a motor. When the assistance apparatus assists a user in walking backward while carrying an object, the motor generates, in a gait phase of a left leg, a tension greater than or equal to a second threshold value in a second wire during a fifth period other than a first period during which a tension greater than or equal to a first threshold value is generated, and a tension less than the second threshold value in a first wire during a sixth period other than a second period during which a tension greater than or equal to the first threshold value is generated, and generates, in a gait phase of a right leg, a tension greater than or equal to the second threshold value in a fourth wire during a seventh period other than a third period during which a tension greater than or equal to the first threshold value is generated, and a tension less than the second threshold value in a third wire during an eighth period other than a fourth period during which a tension greater than or equal to the first threshold value is generated.

Abstract: A pulse wave measuring apparatus includes a light emitter that illuminates with light having an amount an area containing a part of skin of a user staying in a vehicle, an imager that captures an image of the area, a controller that obtains a driving route from a departure point of the vehicle to a destination point of the vehicle, obtains an estimated time at which the vehicle passes through a location along the driving route, predicts an incident amount of sun light that enters the vehicle at the location at the estimated time, and calculates the amount under a condition that a sum of the predicted incident amount and the amount is a constant value, and a pulse wave calculator that calculates a pulse wave of the user using the image, and outputs pulse wave information of the user.

Abstract: A linear motor system includes: a stator including first to tenth coils; a mover including a permanent magnet; a switcher that switches one or more power supply target coils; and first to tenth amplifiers provided in one-to-one correspondence with first to tenth coils. One or more amplifiers that serve as new one or more power supply target amplifiers immediately after the switching calculate Δθ (t0), which is a position deviation at time t=t0, based on Δθ (t0)=Δθ (t0−td)+A−B, where A is a difference between an instructed position at time t=t0 and an instructed position at time t=t0−td, and B is a difference between an actual position at time t=t0 and an actual position at time t=t0−td, and supply power to the power supply target coils by the position deviation Δθ (t0).

Abstract: An assistance apparatus includes wires, each of which couples an upper-body belt and one of left and right knee belts to each other, and a motor. To promote implementation of first assistance for a user in walking while carrying an object, the motor generates a tension greater than or equal to a third threshold value in a second wire and a fourth wire, a tension greater than or equal to the third threshold value in the second wire and a third wire, and a tension greater than or equal to the third threshold value in a first wire and the fourth wire. During execution of the operation described above, upon receipt of determination of implementation, to indicate that implementation of the first assistance is determined, the motor generates a tension greater than or equal to a fourth threshold value in the second wire and the fourth wire, a tension greater than or equal to the fourth threshold value in the second wire and the third wire, and a tension greater than or equal to the fourth threshold value in the first wire and the fourth wire.
