Abstract: A solid electrolyte material according to the present disclosure includes Li, M, O, and X, wherein the M is at least one selected from the group consisting of Nb and Ta, and the X is at least one selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, and I. The solid electrolyte material according to the present disclosure is amorphous, and in an X-ray diffraction pattern of the solid electrolyte material obtained by X-ray diffraction measurement using Cu—Kα radiation, a peak having a maximum intensity is present as a halo pattern in a diffraction angle 2θ range from 10° to 20°, and the peak has a full width at half maximum of 2° or more.
