A control method comprises: receiving from a first vehicle, first information including a first required amount of the energy source; receiving from a second vehicle, second information including a second required amount of the energy source; and determining, when a total sum of required amounts of the energy source received from two or more vehicles including the first vehicle and the second vehicle is larger than a remaining amount in a storage reservoir, i) a first reserved supply amount of the energy source for the first vehicle, wherein the first reserved supply amount is smaller than the first required amount, and ii) a second reserved supply amount of the energy source for the second vehicle. The second reserved supply amount is determined within a range where a total sum of the first reserved supply amount and the second reserved supply amount does not exceed the remaining amount.

A power management method receives, from a meter that measures the amount of surplus power, which is power supplied from a power generation apparatus to a power system, a surplus power value indicating the amount of surplus power, receives, from a first communication terminal used by a user corresponding to first user identification information, an inquiry about power supply in which the surplus power is used in a first time period that lasts a certain unit time, the inquiry being associated with the first user identification information, issues, in accordance with the inquiry, first power identification information for validating power supply performed by a power supply apparatus using the surplus power corresponding to the first time period for an accumulated value of the amount of surplus power corresponding to the first time period, transmits the first power identification information and the accumulated value of the amount of surplus power corresponding to the first time period to the first communication terminal, and causes the power supply apparatus that has received a first power supply request, which is associated with the first power identification information, indicating that power is to be supplied to the first load apparatus to supply an amount of first power equal to or smaller than the amount of surplus power to the first load apparatus as power that does not cause a charging process.

An electric power management device is an electric power management device that is provided in a facility connected to an electric power system and connects to a mobile unit provided with a power generator and an electricity storage device and includes a receiver operative to accept an instruction for selecting one of a first mode in which generated electric power of the power generator is preferentially supplied to an outside of the mobile unit and a second mode in which the electricity storage device is preferentially charged with the generated electric power of the power generator and control circuitry operative to change a supply destination of the generated electric power of the power generator in accordance with the instruction accepted by the receiver.
