Abstract:
In a method to configure a controller for a production system including multiple components that respectively including a client computer connected via data connections with a main computer, the components connected to the data network are scanned to obtain scanned information. A network map is created using the scanned information. The network map can include the main computer, the data connections and the components. The controller can be configured according to specifications of the created network map. Monitoring routines that are specific to the respective components can be executed. Upon the scanning of the components, operating system functions at the client computers are exclusively called so that software modules specifically for the scanning must not be present at the client computers.
Abstract:
In a method for operating a control panel for a production system in particular for printing system, a control system is provided comprising a main computer. The main computer is connected via a data connection with one or more client computers on which a browser is executed. The control panel for the production system is displayed in the respective browser. Via an operation of a user at the control panel, an action request is triggered at a web user interface with which an action is requested at the main computer. Upon every action request, the web user interface checks according to predetermined rules whether this action is allowed, and blocks the action if it is not allowed.
Abstract:
In a method for visually reviewing a print data stream present in a print data language, the print data stream is rastered using a rastering device of a printing system. The rastered print data is cached in a print data memory at the printing system. A section of the cached rastered print data can be read out using a collection process executable at the printing system. The collection process can receive and execute a request to read out a specific section of the rastered print data. The readout rastered print data can be transmitted to a display device using a real time-capable communication connection. The rastered print data can be presented at the display device.
Abstract:
In a method for operating a control panel for a production system, as well as a control system for a production system, in particular for a printing system, the production system control system comprises a main computer. The main computer is connected via a data connection with one or more client computers on which a browser is executed. The control panel for the production system is displayed in the respective browser. With the control panel executed in the browser, a ticket request may be made to a web user interface. Given the ticket request, the web user interface checks whether it is authorized to assign a session ticket to a browser, and whether the session ticket is available. If both are the case, then the web user interface assigns the session ticket to the browser making the ticket request.

Abstract:
In a method for operating a control panel for a production system, as well as a control system for a production system wherein the production system has a control system that comprises a main computer, the main computer is connected via a data connection with one or more client computers on which a browser is executed. The control panel for the production system is displayed in the respective browser, wherein the control panel has one or more data objects that are respectively self-contained elements of the control panel and that serve for the display of a specific value of a respective parameter. A reference table with which a relation is established between each data object and a data source for the specific value of the respective parameter presented in the data object is stored at the main computer. Given a change to the specific value of the data source the main computer transmits only this changed specific value to the corresponding data object.
Abstract:
In a method to monitor a production system using a monitoring system, status data of components and/or component groups of the production system is received. The components/component groups can have different monitoring program modules. The status data is associated as parameter values with respective defined parameters of a parameter set of the monitoring system. The different status data is associated with a same parameter of the parameter set. The parameter values are checked, with predetermined deviations being assessed as errors. An error is detected if different parameter values are transmitted for a same parameter and at least one of the different parameter values exhibits a predetermined deviation that is assessed as an error. An error priority is associated for error correction with a detected error according to predetermined criteria. The error priority can describe an influence the error has on a production process of the production system.
