摘要: The present disclosure relates to various embodiments of an optical package for a LIDAR sensor system having a substrate including an array of a plurality of capacitors formed in the substrate, a plurality of switches formed in the substrate, where each switch is connected between at least one laser diode and at least one capacitor of the plurality of capacitors; and at least one laser diode being mounted in close proximity to the plurality of capacitors on the substrate in order to provide small parasitic inductances and capacitances. A processor is configured to control the plurality of switches to control a first current flow to charge the plurality of capacitors, wherein the processor is configured to control the plurality of switches to control a second current flow to drive the at least one laser diode with current discharged from at least one capacitor of the plurality of capacitors.

摘要: A method of measuring illumination of an environment may include capturing (e.g. via an RGB-D camera arrangement) images of an illuminated environment. The method may further include extracting from the image captured light emittance values as well as albedo values of surface areas (“patches”) across the environment. The method also includes computing illumination values of surface areas across the environment as a function of the emittance values and the albedo values.

摘要: The presence of a stationary object is to be reliably recognized. Thereto, a presence detection device for detecting a presence of an object in its environment is provided, which comprises a movement detection unit for detecting an initial movement of the object in the environment of the presence detection device and for outputting a movement signal depending on the detection as well as a control unit for generating an activation signal depending on the movement signal. Moreover, the presence detection device comprises a camera, which can be activated by the activation signal, for obtaining a video signal of the environment of the presence detection device and an evaluation unit for generating a presence signal relating to the presence of the object by evaluating the video signal.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to various embodiments of an optical component for a LIDAR Sensor System. The optical component includes a first photo diode implementing a LIDAR sensor pixel in a first semiconductor structure and configured to absorb received light in a first wavelength region, a second photo diode implementing a camera sensor pixel in a second semiconductor structure over the first semiconductor structure and configured to absorb received light in a second wavelength region, and an interconnect layer (e.g. arranged between the first semiconductor structure and the second semiconductor structure) including an electrically conductive structure configured to electrically contact the second photo diode. The received light of the second wavelength region has a shorter wavelength than the received light of the first wavelength region.
