Abstract: Provided is an ultrasound observation apparatus for generating an ultrasound image based on an ultrasound signal acquired by an ultrasound probe having an ultrasound transducer. The apparatus includes: an analysis unit that performs FFT on a sample data group having pieces of sample data in RF data generated based on the ultrasound signal, to calculate frequency spectra; a correction unit that generates, based on the frequency spectra, analysis data indicating a relationship between a distance from the ultrasound transducer and an intensity of each of the frequency spectra for each frequency component, and corrects the analysis data based on a correction amount set for each distance, the correction amount causing an intensity of reference data generated from a reference ultrasound signal to be constant regardless of the distance; and a calculation unit that calculates a frequency feature based on a frequency spectrum generated in accordance with the corrected analysis data.

The processor obtains, based on the echo signal or a user input, target information containing at least one of a distance from the ultrasound transducer to a target region containing liquid or a size of the target region, and sets, based on the target information, a drive condition under which an acoustic streaming generating ultrasound transmitted by the ultrasound transducer generates acoustic streaming in the liquid in the target region.

Abstract: Provided is an ultrasound imaging system configured to generate data of an ultrasound image based on an echo signal received by each of a plurality of elements included in an ultrasound transducer that transmits and receives ultrasound. The ultrasound imaging system includes: a determining circuit configured to determine, using a signal corresponding to the echo signal received by each of the plurality of elements, whether each of the plurality of elements has a sensitivity decrease; a region specifying circuit configured to specify a region where sensitivity decreases in the ultrasound image, based on a contribution degree indicating a ratio of transmission intensity contributing to an ultrasound beam by an element that has been determined as having the sensitivity decrease by the determining circuit; and a sensitivity display circuit configured to generate data for displaying the region specified by the region specifying circuit.

Abstract: An ultrasound observation device is configured to acquire an ultrasound signal obtained by converting ultrasound received by an ultrasound transducer to an electric signal, the ultrasound transducer transmitting the ultrasound to an observation target and receiving ultrasound reflected from the observation target. The ultrasound observation device includes: a processor configured to perform predetermined computation on the ultrasonic signal. The processor is configured to: analyze a frequency of a signal generated based on the ultrasound signal to calculate a plurality of frequency spectra; compare a physical quantity based on the ultrasound reflected from the observation target with a threshold set according to the physical quantity; and calculate a frequency feature based on a frequency spectrum calculated by the analyzing and a comparison result obtained by the comparing.
