    Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes: a face detector that detects a face of a subject from images captured by an imaging unit; a display controller that causes a display unit to display a guide image for prompting the subject to change a direction of the face; an angle calculation unit that calculates an angle of turn of the face of the subject from a reference position of the direction of the face when the guide image is displayed, based on pieces of image data before and after a change in the direction of the face; a distance calculation unit that calculates a distance between the imaging apparatus and the face based on the calculated angle; and an image processing unit that performs image processing on at least one of the pieces of image data, according to the change in the direction of the face, based on the angle and the distance.
