摘要: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for access management for reduced capability (RedCap) devices. A method may include acquiring system information from a cell. In some example embodiments, the system information may provide a control resource set zero configuration. The method may also include monitoring a physical downlink control channel based on the control resource set zero configuration. The method may further include receiving, from the physical downlink control channel, downlink control information that indicates a resource allocation for a system information block. In addition, the method may include determining, from the resource allocation whether the cell is barred.

摘要: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for power state transition handling for energy harvesting aware user equipment are provided. For example, a method can include sending, by a user equipment, a message to a network indicating either a power state transition or non-transition. The power state transition can correspond to the user equipment transitioning from a first power state to a second power state based on an available energy of the user equipment. The method can also include receiving, by the user equipment, an information message from the network in accordance with the power state transition.

摘要: An apparatus including at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to identify at least one of a plurality of user equipment based on a pre-determined channel quality. A determination is made that point-to-point efficiency is greater than point-to-multipoint efficiency. At least one identified UE with worse channel condition is switched from point-to-multipoint to point-to-point.

摘要: At a UE configured with an idle-mode configuration for using a PUR, determining that data not associated with the PUR is to be transmitted or received via an RRC connection. The UE performs an initial access to a network for the radio resource control connection. The UE transitions from RRC idle mode to RRC connected mode. The UE performs one of suspending the idle-mode configuration or maintaining the idle-mode configuration, for at least a duration of the RRC connected mode. A base station received the initial access, determines the UE is configured with the idle-mode configuration for using a PUR and transitions the UE from RRC idle mode to RRC connected mode. The base station performs communication between the base station and the UE to perform action(s) to modify one or both of the idle-mode configuration or an RRC connection corresponding to the transition into the RRC connected mode.

摘要: A method includes receiving positioning configuration information from a base station or location server while in an RRC_connected mode; transitioning to an RRC_idle or RRC_inactive mode, while saving the positioning configuration information; receiving a reference signal for positioning from the base station; performing positioning measurements, while in the RRC_idle or RRC_inactive mode; and sending a location report to the base station or location server while remaining in the RRC_idle or RRC_inactive mode. A related method includes sending positioning configuration information to a user equipment in an RRC_connected mode; sending the user equipment to RRC_idle or RRC_inactive mode by an RRC suspend procedure; sending a reference signal for positioning to the user equipment; receiving a location report from the user equipment in the RRC_idle or RRC_inactive mode; and forwarding the location report from the user equipment to a location server.

摘要: Various communication systems may benefit from time discontinuous transmission. For example, narrow band Internet of things (NB-IoT) may benefit from having transmissions with sufficient time diversity to avoid unnecessary repetition. A method can include configuring a control channel and data channel partitioning pattern within a configured time period. The method can additionally include communicating with at least one user equipment based on the control channel and data channel partitioning pattern.
