Abstract: There is provided a method comprising: upon detecting that a first condition is met, causing a transmission of a measurement report to a wireless network; acquiring a conditional handover command from the wireless network; upon detecting that a second condition, associated with the conditional handover command, is met, starting a handover execution timer for triggering execution of a handover from a source cell to a target cell; detecting that a radio link failure condition is met before the execution of the handover is triggered; and on the basis of the detecting, signaling, to the wireless network, information indicative of a cause of a conditional handover failure to be either misconfigured first condition or misconfigured second condition.

Abstract: When a given user equipment (UE) has a plurality K of cells currently serving it, in various embodiments there is an algorithm for triggering the UE to wirelessly send a cell measurement report. The algorithm utilizes a parameter whose value is dependent on the number K of cells currently in the UE's active set. The UE updates K anytime a new cell is added to, or a serving cell is removed from, the UE's active set. In various examples the parameter is an offset that operates such that for adding a new cell increasing values of K make it more difficult to satisfy the algorithm. One example has the offset's value computed using a slope value provided by the network and a default offset value; another has the offset's value computed using maximum and minimum allowable values of both K and the offset which are provided by the network.

Abstract: There are provided measures for network-assisted fallback to contention-based random access. Such measures exemplarily comprise, at a target access point being a target of a handover of a terminal connected to at least one net-receiving work slice from a source access point, receiving a handover request including information on said at least one network slice, selecting, from a plurality of pools of random access channel resources to be used for contention-based random access processing, a first pool of random access channel resources to be used by said terminal upon fallback to contention-based random access during a handover processing, wherein said selecting is based on at least one of network slice related information on terminals in radio resource control idle mode, on terminals in radio resource control inactive mode, and/or on terminals in radio resource control connected mode, and of available random access channel resources, and transmitting a handover request acknowledgement message including handover assistance information indicative of said first pool of random access channel resources.

Such measures exemplarily comprise, at a terminal connected to at least one network slice and being subject to a handover from a source access point to a target access point, receiving a handover command message including handover assistance information indicative of a first pool of random access channel resources to be used by said terminal upon fallback to contention-based random access during a handover processing, selecting first random access channel resources as attempt random access channel resources from said first pool of random access channel resources, attempting random access to said target access point utilizing said attempt random access channel resources, storing, if said attempting random access to said target access point utilizing said attempt random access channel resources is unsuccessful, attempt related information to an attempt failure list, and transmitting, if said attempting random access to said target access point utilizing said attempt random access channel resources is successful, said attempt failure list to said target access point.
