摘要: A gasket in which a high sealing property can be certainly ensured is provided. A gasket 1 is to be interposed between a first flange 21 of a first exhaust pipe 11 and a second flange 22 of a second exhaust pipe 12 in a state where the gasket is fitted onto an end portion of the first exhaust pipe, in order to seal a gap between end portions of the first and second exhaust pipes 11, 12. The gasket 1 includes a first sealing portion 51 and a second sealing portion 52. The first sealing portion has a first butting surface 51a having a tapered shape corresponding to a tapered shape of a first tapered inner circumferential surface 27a of the first flange, and a first projecting portion 51b. The first sealing portion is formed in a radially outer side of the gasket. The second sealing portion has a second butting surface 52a having a tapered shape corresponding to a tapered shape of a second tapered inner circumferential surface of the second flange, and a second projecting portion 52b. The second sealing portion is formed in a radially outer side of the gasket.

摘要: Provided is a spiral wound gasket that makes it less likely that gaps that are in communication with each other in a spiral shape will remain between layers of a filler member exposed at a gasket face in a state before the gasket is clamped and that is capable of exhibiting sufficient sealability for flanges provided at pipe joints. The present invention provides a spiral wound gasket in which a laminate of a hoop member made of metal and a filler member is wound around an opening and integrated, and which has gasket faces at respective end portions, wherein, at each of the gasket faces, an end portion of the filler member protrudes past an end portion of the hoop member, and the gasket faces have a surface roughness Rz of 30 μm to 200 μm.

摘要: A method of producing a gasket in which burrs can be prevented from being formed, and a mold failure can be suppressed, and a gasket are provided. A method of producing a gasket includes: a step S1 of preparing a metal mesh member and expanded graphite; a step S2 of placing the metal mesh member around the expanded graphite in a manner that a long belt-like composite body in which the expanded graphite is enveloped by the metal mesh member is formed; a step S4 of adjusting the shapes of longitudinal end portions of the composite body in a manner that, in the short-side direction of the composite body, the width dimensions of the longitudinal end portions of the composite body are smaller than the width dimension of a longitudinal middle portion of the composite body; a step S5 of spirally winding the composite body in a manner that a tubular body in a multiply wound state in which an axial direction coincides with the short-side direction of the composite body is formed; and a step S6 of compress molding the tubular body in the axial direction of the tubular body.

摘要: Provided is a spiral wound gasket that has improved conformability and that is capable of exhibiting sufficient sealability for flanges provided at joints, irrespective of the state of a gap between the flanges. The present invention provides a spiral wound gasket in which a laminate of a hoop member made of metal and a filler member is wound and integrated so as to have an opening at the center, wherein the hoop member has a cross-sectional shape with a bent portion, and V expressed by an equation (I) below is 0.5 to 2.4: V = 1 r cos ( α 2 ) , ( I ) where a bending angle constituting the bent portion is α (°), and a radius of curvature of the bent portion is r (mm).
