摘要: A rivet stud has a rivet body with an elongated shank, a flange, and an axial bore in which is located a tension mandrel, which has a mandrel shank with a drawing end projecting out of a head end of the rivet body that is separable from the mandrel shank at a predetermined breaking point and which has a mandrel head that is supported on a foot end of the rivet body. The mandrel shank is provided with locking means that secure it in the rivet body after setting of the rivet stud, and the predetermined breaking point is located such that the breaking point lies inside the bore of the rivet body after setting of the rivet stud. Located on the mandrel head is a mounting stud that projects from the mandrel head on the side opposite the mandrel shank.

摘要: A blind rivet having a hollow rivet body made of plastic, an elongated shank with a bore, a head at one end of the shank and a foot end on the opposite end of the shank, and having, in the bore, a mandrel that has a mandrel shank with a drawing end and a mandrel head that acts on the foot end, the shank has a first region located between the head and the foot end, and has a second region with reduced cross-section and reduced wall thickness as compared to the first region. The regions arranged such that, as a result of a process in which the head is pressed against one side of a workpiece and the foot end is simultaneously drawn toward the other side of the workpiece with the aid of the mandrel, the wall of the shank forms a roll fold with an annular bead.

摘要: A method for production of a joining component, the method comprising the steps of providing a metal section which is inductively heatable and defines an axial through aperture; and coating the metal element with a thermoplastic material by a single-component injection-molding of a base body of the joining component around the metal section so that the base body includes: a holding section formed as a cylindrical shaft and a flange, the flange including a first and second sides, and an inner side of the metal section is joined to the flange and an exposed outer side of the metal section faces away from the flange; and a the second side of the flange is axially recessed within the aperture; and a joining surface is comprised of the outer side of the metal section and a portion of the second side of the flange radially outward of the metal section.

摘要: A joining apparatus includes a joining tool on which a joining component is held and which moves the joining component in an axial direction to position a metal section of the joining component on a surface of the workpiece. A heating device is provided for heating the metal section of the joining component to integrally couple the metal section to the workpiece. A sensor is connected to the joining tool acting to determine a zero point defined when a joining surface of the metal section has reached the surface of the workpiece before the workpiece is axially deformed.
