Abstract: Provided is a method for upgrading polymer waste-based material. The method includes providing a polymer waste-based feedstock, providing a crude oil-derived feedstock, blending the polymer waste-based feedstock, the crude oil-derived feedstock, and optionally a further feed material, to provide a feed mixture, hydrotreating the feed mixture at hydrodesulphurisation conditions to provide a hydrotreated material boiling in the middle distillate range, and recovering at least a jet fuel component from the hydrotreated material.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for upgrading liquefied waste plastics, the method including a step (A) of providing liquefied waste plastics (LWP) material, a step (B) including pre-treating the liquefied waste plastics material by contacting the liquefied waste plastics material with an aqueous medium having a pH of at least 7 at a temperature of 200° C. or more, followed by liquid-liquid separation, to produce a pre-treated liquefied waste plastics material, a step (C) including hydrotreating the pre-treated liquefied waste plastics material, optionally in combination with a co-feed, to obtain a hydrotreated material, and a step (D) of post-treating the hydrotreated material to obtain a steam cracker feed.

Abstract: A method of processing liquefied waste plastic (LWP) includes hydrotreating a stream of liquified waste plastic (LWP) in a presence of hydrogen and a catalyst in a first hydrotreatment step in specified first (e.g., mild) hydrotreatment conditions, to form a stream of hydrotreated LWP, in a reactor system including at least one reactor each containing at least one catalyst bed; and blending the stream of hydrotreated LWP with a stream including hydrocarbons to form a mixed stream of hydrotreated LWP and hydrocarbons, and to provide a purified hydrocarbon product.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for processing liquefied waste polymers (LWP) containing diolefins. The LWP feed is supplied to steam stripper A to provide a distillate containing diolefins and naphtha, and a distillate bottom. The distillate is subjected to hydrotreatment B to produce a diolefin depleted distillate which is separated by distillation C to give rise to one or more fractions comprising at least a naphtha fraction, an optional middle fraction and a bottom fraction. Hydroprocessing D of the naphtha fraction gives rise to hydrogenated naphtha which is suitable as a feed for a steam cracker E. Since the distillation bottom, bottom fraction and the middle distillate are predominantly free from diolefins, they can be mixed with crude oil and processed further in oil refinery.
