Abstract: A telephone switching office with a unique arrangement of path interconnections wherein originating junctors and incoming trunks enter one side of a route network, and terminating junctors and terminating trunks leave the other side of the route network. Both types of junctors are connected to a line circuit switching network. This structure allows the concentrating of service circuits which are connected to a service network. The service network interfaces the originating junctors, allowing line access to the service circuits without need to set up a path through the route network.
