    Abstract: A user equipment apparatus (UE) includes processor(s) and memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor(s), cause the UE to: establish a connection with a first network node via a serving cell, where the first network node supports the serving cell and supports at least one of distributed unit functionality or a layer 2 protocol of a radio access network (RAN); receive, from a second network node supporting at least one of central unit control plane functionality or a layer 3 protocol of the RAN, a radio resource control (RRC) message including configuration information relating to timing advance, where the configuration information prepares the UE for at least one candidate target cell with which the UE may connect, where the RRC message is received prior to the UE connecting with any of the at least one candidate target cell; and implement a configuration based on the configuration information.

    Abstract: In some embodiments, there is provided a method that includes receiving, by a source distributed unit, a configuration for a target distributed unit, wherein the configuration comprises at least one bandwidth part configuration for at least one transmit and receive point at the targeted distributed unit and a channel state information resource configuration of multiple transmit and receive points; in response to receiving a layer 1 measurement report for the target distributed unit, deciding, by the source distributed unit, to switch to the target distributed unit with a multiple transmit and receive points operation; and sending, by the source distributed unit, a cell switch command to a user equipment to change to the target distributed using a multiple transmit and receive points operation, the cell switch command including a bandwidth part identifier and multiple transmit and receive points beam indications.     Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for robust radio resource allocation for uplink radar and other user equipment calibration are provided. For example, a method may include receiving, at a network element, measurements of a set of synchronization signal blocks or channel state information reference signals or both synchronization signal blocks and channel state information reference signals from a user equipment. The method may additionally include sending to the user equipment a direct or indirect indication of a random access opportunity corresponding to a synchronization signal block index value or channel state information reference signal index value, wherein the indication is for usage to perform user equipment calibration.
