摘要: A drive unit outputs a modulation signal based on a data signal input from an optical communication apparatus through a pluggable electric connector. An optical modulator outputs an optical signal generated by modulating a light output from a light source based on the modulation signal. A control unit controls a modulation operation of the optical modulator. The control unit outputs a driver signal instructing to start a setting operation to the optical communication apparatus. The optical communication apparatus monitors the modulation operation of the optical modulator in response to the driver signal and performs an operation of correcting the data signal and/or an operation of outputting a control signal representing a control setting for the modulation operation to the control unit based on a monitoring result. The control unit controls the modulation operation of the optical modulator based on the control signal when receiving the control signal.

摘要: This invention provides an optical transmitter that internally compensates for PDL with a high degree of precision and can output high-quality transmission signals. The optical transmitter is provided with the following: a light-outputting means for generating an optical signal; a data-outputting means for outputting a data sequence generated on the basis of information to be transmitted; a driving means for applying, to an optical modulator, a bias voltage with a pilot signal superimposed thereon; the optical modulator, which, upon the application of the bias voltage, modulates the abovementioned optical signal on the basis of the aforementioned data sequence and outputs the modulated signal; and a controlling means for controlling the bias voltage in accordance with the strength of the pilot signal extracted from the modulated signal.

摘要: An acquisition means repeatedly acquires three-dimensional data of a monitoring target surface on a time axis. A deformation detection means detects, based on a plurality of pieces of the three-dimensional data, a first deformation occurring at a first time, and a second deformation occurring at a position different from an occurrence position of the first deformation at a second time being after the first time. A deformation prediction means predicts, based on a detection result by the deformation detection means, that a third deformation may occur in a future at a position different from occurrence positions of the first deformation and the second deformation.

摘要: To autonomously apply a bias voltage to an optical modulator according to phase angle information provided from outside in a pluggable optical module. A pluggable electric connector (11) can communicate a communication data signal and a control signal with an optical communication apparatus (92). An optical signal output unit (13) includes a Mach-Zehnder type optical modulator including a phase modulation area and outputs an optical modulation signal (LS) modulated according to the communication data signal. An optical power control unit (14) can control optical power of the optical modulation signal (LS). A pluggable optical receptor (15) can output the optical modulation signal (LS) to an optical fiber (91). A control unit (12) controls a modulation operation of the optical signal output unit (13) and the bias voltage applied to the phase modulation area.
The control unit (12) determines the bias voltage applied to the phase modulation area according to phase angle information of the control signal (CON1). The optical signal output unit (13) applies the bias voltage determined by the control unit (12) to the phase modulation area.-
