    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for determining HARQ timing in a communication system supporting Carrier Aggregation (CA) are provided. A method for receiving, at a BS, a HARQ feedback from a UE in a communication system supporting CA of a Pcell and at least one Scell is provided. The Pcell and Scell support either FDD or TDD. The method comprises: transmitting a downlink physical channel through one of the Pcell and Scell; receiving the HARQ feedback corresponding to the downlink physical channel of the Pcell at a first timing predetermined for the Pcell; and receiving the HARQ feedback corresponding to the downlink physical channel of the Scell at a second timing. The second timing is determined according to one or more of duplex modes of the Pcell and the Scell, a scheduling mode of the Scell, and predefined rules.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus of transmitting uplink (UL) information and a method and apparatus of receiving UL information. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method of transmitting UL information comprises transmitting a reference signal using a first sequence; and transmitting UL control information using a second sequence; wherein a reference signal and the UL control information are staggered-multiplexed in frequency domain. With embodiments of the present disclosure, the uplink information can be transmitted in reduced uplink symbols so as to adapt for a proposed subframe structure with reduced uplink symbols and thus, the transmission latency can be reduced greatly.

    Abstract: A method at a base station for performing data transmission to a user equipment in a communications system supporting carrier aggregation of at least one first carrier on which a short TTI is applied and at least one second carrier on which a long TTI is applied. The method transmits at least one DL scheduling grant corresponding to data transmission to the user equipment in a DL control region of at least one of a short TTI on a first carrier and a long TTI on a second carrier and performs DL data transmission towards the user equipment in a data transmission region of a short TTI on the first carrier and in the data transmission region of a long TTI on the second carrier as indicated by the at least one DL scheduling grant.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus of transmitting a reference signal and a method and apparatus of receiving a reference signal. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method of transmitting a reference comprises receiving a reference signal configuration indication, wherein reference signal resources are divided into at least two reference signal groups, and the reference signal configuration indication indicates a reference signal configuration including a reference signal group configuration; and transmitting the reference signal using a reference signal sequence in a reference signal group as indicated by the reference signal group configuration, wherein the reference signal sequence can be multiplexed with another layer or another user in different reference signal groups. With embodiments of the present disclosure, reference signals for different layers or users can be multiplexed in different reference signal groups and thus, more mu-users with unequal allocated bandwidths can be supported without significant channel estimation loss and Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) loss.
