Abstract: For determining reference signal locations, a method determines a number of Transmission Time Intervals (TTI) in a scheduled transmission of a plurality of TTI. The method further determines one or more reference signal locations based on the number of TTI and one or more of a parameter received from a higher layer wherein the higher layer is higher than a physical layer, a subframe index, a subband size, and a Time Division Duplex (TDD) configuration for the scheduled transmission.

Abstract: A first control signal can be transmitted in a short PDCCH belonging to a first subset of a set of configured short PDCCH candidates associated with a first set of aggregation levels in a first TTI of a subframe. A second control signal can be transmitted in a short PDCCH belonging to a second subset of the set of short PDCCH candidates associated with a second set of aggregation levels in a second TTI of the subframe. The first subset of the set of short PDCCH candidates and the second subset of the short PDCCH candidates can be different. The first subset of the set of short PDCCH candidates can be based on a first index associated with the first TTI. The second subset of the set of short PDCCH candidates can be based on a second index associated with the second TTI. The subframe can comprise at least the first and the second TTIs.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for scheduling of transmission time intervals. One apparatus includes a processor that determines a first semi-persistent scheduling resource assignment indicating a first set of resources including a first multiple time domain resources. Each time domain resource of the first multiple time domain resources has a first transmission time interval length. The processor also determines a second semi-persistent scheduling resource assignment indicating a second set of resources including a second multiple time domain resources. Each time domain resource of the second multiple time domain resources has a second transmission time interval length, and the first transmission time interval length is different from the second transmission time interval length. The apparatus includes a transmitter that transmits the first semi-persistent scheduling resource assignment using a first semi-persistent scheduling radio network identifier, and transmits the second semi-persistent scheduling resource assignment using a second semi-persistent scheduling radio network identifier.

Abstract: Control channel candidates can be transmitted in at least one shortened transmission time interval in a subframe and set of resource blocks corresponding to control channel candidates in the at least one shortened transmission time interval. A determination can be made about whether at least one resource block of the set of resource blocks at least partially overlaps with a broadcast control channel or signal. A determination can be made about control resource elements for transmission of a control channel candidate based on the determination about whether the at least one resource block of the set of resource blocks at least partially overlaps with the broadcast control channel or signal. The control channel candidate can be transmitted in the at least one shortened transmission time interval according to the determined control resource elements.

Abstract: A resource allocation assignment for a set of scheduled TTIs can be received from a network in a first TTI belonging to the set of scheduled TTIs. A first set of resources for receiving a first portion and a second set of resources for receiving a second portion of a first downlink user data in the first TTI can be determined based on the resource allocation assignment. The first downlink user data corresponding to at least a first transport block in the first and the second set of resources can be received. A third set of resources for receiving a first portion and a fourth set of resources for receiving a second portion of a second downlink user data in a second TTI belonging to the set of scheduled TTIs can be determined based on the resource allocation assignment. The second downlink user data corresponding to at least a second transport block in the third and the fourth set of resources can be received.

Abstract: A method and apparatus reduce latency of Long Term Evolution (LTE) uplink transmissions. Configuration information regarding a first set of resources can be received. A second set of resources can be determined. A transmission resource can be selected from the first set of resources or the second set of resources using a selection criterion. A scheduling request can be transmitted if the transmission resource belongs to the first set of resources. A data transport block can be transmitted if the transmission resource belongs to the second set of resources. The scheduling request can be control information requesting resources for transmission of the data transport block.

Abstract: A first resource assignment can be received in a first TTI. A first set of resources for receiving a first portion of a first DL user data in the first TTI can be determined based on the first resource assignment. A second set of resources for receiving a second portion of the first DL user data in the first TTI can be determined based on the first resource assignment. A resource location of a first DMRS associated with the first portion of the first DL user data in the first set of resources can be determined. A resource location of a second DMRS associated with the second portion of the first DL user data in the second set of resources can be determined. The first DL user data corresponding to at least a first TB can be received from the network in the first TTI in the first and second set of resources. The first portion of the first DL user data in the first set of resources can be demodulated. The first portion of the first DL user data can be demodulated based on the first DMRS. The second portion of the first DL user data can be demodulated based on the second DMRS. A second resource assignment can be received in a second TTI. A third set of resources for receiving a first portion of a second DL user data in the second TTI can be determined based on the second resource assignment. A fourth set of resources for receiving a second portion of the second DL user data in the second TTI can be determined based on the second resource assignment. A resource location of a third DMRS associated with the second portion of the second DL user data in the fourth set of resources can be determined. The second DL user data corresponding to at least a second TB can be received from the network in the second TTI in the third and fourth set of resources. The first portion of the second DL user data can be demodulated based on the first DMRS. The second portion of the second DL user data can be demodulated based on at least the third DMRS.

Abstract: A method and apparatus reduce latency of Long Term Evolution (LTE) uplink transmissions. An indication can be acquired, where the indication can indicate a set of frequency domain resource blocks for possible Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission in an uplink subframe. A subset of resource blocks can be selected from the set of frequency domain resource blocks for possible PUSCH transmission based on a selection criterion. The selection criterion can use at least a resource set size acquired from the indication, can use a modulo function, and can use an identifier associated with the User Equipment (UE). The PUSCH can be transmitted in the selected subset of resource blocks in the uplink subframe.
