Abstract: Techniques for causing a specific location of an object provided to a shared device. These techniques may include connecting the computing device with an individual device. The individual device may transmit the object to the shared device and displayed at an initial object position on a display of the shared device. The initial object position may be updated in response to movement of the individual device, and the object may be displayed at the updated object position on the display. The object position may be locked in response to a signal, and the object may be displayed at the locked object position.

Abstract: In some scenarios, devices may execute applications that are configured to monitor a set of conditions (e.g., geographic coordinates detected by global positioning system (GPS) receivers), and to execute actions upon detecting the fulfillment of the conditions. However, in such architectures, each application may be responsible for polling the sensors of the device to detect condition fulfillment, and it may be difficult to specify rules in a hardware-independent manner involving multiple applications and/or devices. Presented herein are techniques for configuring devices to perform actions by receiving a rule set from a rule server; registering a set of condition tests for respective conditions of a rule with the sensors of the device; upon being notified by the sensor that a condition test has been fulfilled, evaluating the conditions of the rule; and upon determining a fulfillment of the conditions, executing one or more actions (optionally involving multiple devices and/or applications).

Abstract: The disclosure pertains to a communication system for effecting a voice or video call between at least a source user speaking a source language and a target user speaking a target language. A translation procedure is performed on call audio of the call to generate an audio translation of the source user's speech in the target language for outputting to the target user. A notification is outputted to the target user to notify the target user of a change in the behavior of the translation procedure, the change relating to the generation of the translation.
