Abstract:
An improved tool for pulling off a rotor of a motor from a shaft or a fan from a shaft, which improved tool is provided with hooked arms that are releasably but securely held at one end in the housing, without the use of retaining clips, so that the arms do not fall off during use or become lost, and so that they do not interfere with the use of the tool when using the securing bolts for pulling off a rotor. The hooked arms of the invention are also hexagonal shaped, and securing bolts are provided with hexagonal-shaped recesses in their heads, so that the hooked arms may themselves be used for rotating the securing bolts when pulling off a rotor of a motor from a shaft. In addition, the housing of the improved tool of the invention is circular in shape, and is provided with a plurality of equally-spaced holes about its circumference, which holes received the hooked ends of the hooked arms, so that various configurations of hooked arms may be provided to best suit the configuration of vanes and type of fan being pulled off a shaft. To ensure that the each hooked arm is releasably retained in a respective hole of the housing, the end of the arm is provided with a hook defined by a straight piece extending at an acute angle with respect with the main, elongated body of the arm.
Abstract:
A hockey blade sleeve device for being secured to and removable from the blade of a hockey stick includes a sleeve positioned on the foot of a hockey stick when playing a game of hockey. The sleeve has an exterior surface and an interior surface. The exterior surface is a cloth material, and the interior surface is an elastic material. An opening of the sleeve is positioned on a first end of the sleeve. The opening is positioned proximate to an end of the foot of the hockey stick. A tip of the sleeve is positioned on a second end of the sleeve. The tip is positioned on a toe of the foot of the hockey stick.
Abstract:
A method of operation of a non-volatile memory packaging system includes: addressing an integrated circuit package having a system interface; accessing a module controller, in the integrated circuit package, through system interface; accessing a random access memory, in the integrated circuit package, by the module controller for storing data from the system interface; writing to a non-volatile memory, in the integrated circuit package by the module controller, with the data from the random access memory; and monitoring an address look-up register, by the module controller, for reading the data from the non-volatile memory or the random access memory through the system interface.

Abstract:
A method for operating a dynamic back-up storage system includes: providing a high speed memory including a first rank memory device and subsequent ranks of memory devices; providing a non-volatile memory for saving data from the high speed memory; and providing a control logic unit for controlling access, of a central processing unit that executes a program, from the high speed memory including restoring the subsequent ranks of memory devices while the central processing unit is executing the program from the first rank memory device.
Abstract:
A method and system for testing memory modules is disclosed. The system includes a memory module and a connector configured to receive the module. The memory module is configured to operate in two modes: In the first operation mode the module uses a frequency between a low frequency and a high frequency. In the second operation mode, the module uses a frequency lower than the lower frequency. A control circuit is coupled to the connector. The control circuit is configured to apply a control signal to the circuit module when the circuit module is received in the connector. When the circuit module is received in the connector, the control signal is applied. This applied control signal causes the module to operate in the second operation mode.
Abstract:
An Internet gateway server for dynamically loading a database with data extracted from selected header fields and the body of inbound and outbound HTTP messages exchanged between one or more servers and the Web browsers which connect with those servers. The gateway server or “WebJacket” is interposed in the communications pathway between the server(s) and client(s) receiving each of inbound messages from a client and forwarding the received inbound messages to the server(s). The WebJacket extracts a first selected set of data contained in predetermined ones of said inbound messages and storing this incoming message data in predetermined locations in a relational database. The WebJacket further receives, stores and forwards each outbound message from the server(s) and extracts a second selected set of data from the outbound messages. To speed performance, the WebJacket uses multithreaded processes to forward each message to its destination before or while the content of that message is being posted into the database. The specific information to be saved from each message, and the database location where it is to reside, is specified by configuration data accepted from a user in advance of handling the messages. When the message content is not sufficient to uniquely each client that initiated a given request/response exchange, client identification data in inserted into the outbound message in a “set-cookie” header instruction so that all messages to or from a given client may thereafter be identified. The configuration data identifies messages which already include cookie data which is adequate to identify the client.
Abstract:
A Web agent software interface between a relational database and Web-based application programs employs stored SQL procedures to store, update and retrieve multimedia objects. Web based applications manipulate the data in the relational database table by using URLs consisting of an alphanumeric designation of the host computer and port, the Web agent program associated with the database, the database agent configuration information associated with the database, specific stored SQL procedure for performing the desired data manipulation, and additional parameter data needed to specify and manipulate a particular multimedia object. A clipboard application program provides a graphical user interface which a user may employ to select and view selected multi-media objects stored in selected relational database tables, and to transfer the Web URLs designating those selected objects to other Web applications, such as HTML authoring tools, using convenient “drag-and-drop” and “cut, copy and paste” operations. The Web agent program retrieves data from the database which are designated by such URLs, and accepts POST requests from HTML forms which are activated by the user of a Web browser to load or update data in the relational database.

In another version, instead of the plurality of equally-spaced holes for holding the hooked ends of the hooked arms, an annular groove is provided on the upper, horizontal surface of the lower circular cross-sectioned section of the housing, which annular groove is preferably continuous for 360 degrees about the upper, horizontal surface of the lower circular cross-sectioned section of the housing, whereby there is provided substantially an infinite spacing capability to the hooked ends of the hooked arms.
