摘要： An automatic telephone dialer for placing outgoing telephone calls from a facsimile terminal or the like in response to dialing instructions read by a raster input scanner automatically re-attempts to place calls which cannot initially be completed because of a busy link status for a predetermined number of times. The dialer also includes means for at least temporarily suspending further operation of the scanner pending successful placement of the call.
