Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a modular lighting system that may include a driver module, an array of LEDs that are driven by the driver module, and a control module. The control module is configured to control the driver module, which in turn drives the LEDs of the array of LEDs in a desired fashion. The control module may communicate with one or more remote lighting control systems through wired or wireless communications and function to control the driver module accordingly. Notably, the driver module and the control module communicate with each other through a standard communication protocol, such that either of the driver module or the control module can be replaced without replacing the other of the driver module or control module. Further, power may be provided to the control module and the array of LEDs by the driver module via the standard communication interface or separate power interface.
Abstract:
A liner hanger includes a mandrel and a slip assembly disposed around the mandrel, wherein the slip assembly includes an expandable non-frangible slip ring and a plurality of gripping members. A liner top packer includes a mandrel, a slip assembly disposed around the mandrel, and a sealing element disposed around the mandrel, wherein the slip assembly includes an expandable non-frangible slip ring and a plurality of gripping members disposed circumferentially around the expandable non-frangible slip ring. A method for setting a tool in a wellbore includes running the tool having a slip assembly disposed around a mandrel of the tool into the wellbore, positioning the tool at a predetermined wellbore location, actuating the tool to impart a force on the slip assembly, and expanding the expandable non-frangible slip ring from a first diameter to a second diameter to displace the gripping members radially outward into engagement with a surrounding surface.
Abstract:
A text message originated ringer operates to carry out some operation based on an embedded control code in the message. The message includes all text, but some of the text characters are reserved. A control sequence, also in text, is contained between two reserved text characters. That control sequence is used to control the ringer in the remote phone. The control sequence is not displayed as part of the text message, but instead is only used as the control.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a modular lighting system that may include a driver module, an array of LEDs that are driven by the driver module, and one or more auxiliary modules. The auxiliary modules are configured to control the driver module, which in turn drives the LEDs of the array of LEDs in a desired fashion. The auxiliary module may provide a bridge for communications with one or more remote lighting control systems through wired or wireless communications and function to control the driver module accordingly. Other exemplary auxiliary modules may include modules that function to control the driver module based on one or more of ambient light, ambient temperature, room occupancy, emergency lighting requirements, and the like.
Abstract:
Novel hydraulic actuators and hydraulic setting assemblies are provided for use in downhole, oil and gas well tools. The novel hydraulic actuators include a cylindrical mandrel and an annular stationary' sealing member connected to the mandrel. A hydraulic cylinder is slidably supported on the mandrel and stationary sealing member and is releasably fixed in position on the mandrel. The stationary sealing member divides the interior of the cylinder into a bottom hydraulic chamber and a top hydraulic chamber. An inlet port provides fluid communication into the bottom hydraulic chamber, and an outlet port provides fluid communication into the top hydraulic chamber. A balance piston is slidably supported within the top hydraulic chamber of the actuator. The piston includes an axially extending passageway. Fluid communication through the piston and between its upper and lower sides is controlled by a normally shut valve in the passageway. In the absence of relative movement between the mandrel and cylinder, the balance piston is able to slide in response to a difference in hydrostatic pressure between the outlet port, is which is on one side of the piston, and the portion of the top hydraulic chamber that is on the bottom side of the piston.
Abstract:
A call time usage system for a portable telephone allows entering call time usage information into the portable telephone. The limits include limits on total airtime and airtime per call for a specified interval. After the specified interval, the limits are reset. A list of exempt numbers is also stored so that the user can call those exempt numbers even after the limit is exceeded.
Abstract:
Return flow diverters are provided for which are adapted to allow return flow during cementing of a liner for a well. The return flow diverter comprises a cylindrical body adapted for installation in a well as part of the liner. The cylindrical body has a fluid port therein adapted to allow fluids displaced by a cementing operation to flow from an annulus between the liner and the well into the cylindrical body. The return flow diverter also comprises a cover supported on the cylindrical body for movement from an open position, in which the port is open, to a closed position, in which the port is closed by the cover, a transmission disposed within the cylindrical body and defining a cylindrical passageway adapted to accommodate a tubular conduit.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a lighting component with multiple DC-DC converters. Each of the DC-DC converters is used to independently drive a corresponding string of LEDs. In general, rectifier circuitry receives an AC power signal and generates a rectified signal, which is provided to first and second converter circuitries. The first converter circuitry converts the rectified signal into a first drive voltage for a first string of LEDs and provides a first drive current for the first string of LEDs based on a first drive current control signal. Similarly, the second converter circuitry converts the rectified signal into a second drive voltage for a second string of LEDs and provides a second drive current for the second string of LEDs based on a second drive current control signal.
