    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide an apparatus, which can include a receiving circuitry and a processing circuitry. The receiving circuitry can be configured to receive a configuration indicating that a preconfigured number of consecutive symbols within a slot are used for a sidelink transmission. The receiving circuitry can be further configured to receive the sidelink transmission over the preconfigured number of consecutive symbols within the slot. The processing circuitry can be configured to process a data transmission of the sidelink transmission received over the preconfigured number of consecutive symbols within the slot. Aspects of the disclosure also provide a method.

    Abstract: A method of sidelink communications can include receiving at a user equipment (UE) a configuration for a first resource pool indicating a first size of a first first-stage sidelink control information (SCI) in terms of a number of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols and a second size of the first first-stage SCI in terms of a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs). The first resource pool can be divided into slots in time domain and sub-channels each occupying a set of PRBs in frequency domain. The first first-stage SCI having the first size of the number of OFDM symbols and the second size of the number of PRBs indicated by the configuration for the first resource pool can be transmitted within a first slot and a first sub-channel of the first resource pool.

    Abstract: Various examples and schemes pertaining to enhancements for sidelink (SL) synchronization in New Radio (NR) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications are described. A user equipment (UE) establishes synchronization with one other UE in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) network based on a partial search or signaling. The UE performs a sidelink (SL) communication with the other UE upon the synchronization being established. The UE also maintains the SL communication during a SL synchronization reference change by either of the UEs.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for sidelink resource selection in unlicensed frequency bands. In one novel aspect, a combination of SL resource selection procedure and a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure are used for resource selection in unlicensed frequency bands. In one embodiment, the LBT procedure is performed after the SL resource selection procedure. In one embodiment, the candidate resource selected by the SL resource selection procedure has an overbooking resource size larger than or equal to a resource size required for the SL data transceiving. In another embodiment, the overbooking resource size is dynamically determined based on one or more preconfigured conditions comprising an LBT failure probability, channel loading status information, and channel congestion control information. In yet another embodiment, the candidate resources are multi-consecutive-slot (MCSt) resources with configured multiple consecutive resource blocks. In one embodiment, one or more configuration parameters are dynamically configured.
