摘要: Various solutions for avoiding denial of services with respect to mobile station (MS) and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. A MS may receive a first reject message from a network apparatus in a location area. The first reject message may comprise a first reject cause. The MS may also receive a second reject message from the network apparatus in the location area. The second reject message may comprise a second reject cause. The MS may store an identification of the location area in a forbidden location area list in an event that both the first reject cause and the second reject cause are received from the same location area. The MS may further search for another location area or tracking area.

摘要: Examples pertaining to an improvement on the inter-system registration failure case in mobile communications are described. A user equipment (UE) performs a registration procedure with a wireless network after an inter-system change. In response to detecting a failure of the registration procedure, the UE reattempts the registration procedure. The UE reattempts the registration procedure either: (i) after detecting the failure; or (ii) upon expiry of a first timer used by the UE which has a shorter duration than a second timer used by the UE.

摘要: Examples pertaining to protocol improvement for redirection to another system in mobile communications are described. An apparatus in a 5th Generation System (5GS) receives, from a mobile network, a reject cause indicating that redirection to an Evolved Packet System (EPS) is required. Responsive to receiving the reject cause while no suitable cell of the first mobile network connected to an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) is found or while no cell of the first mobile network connected to an EPC can be selected, the apparatus enters a predefined 5th Generation Mobility Management (5GMM) state and starts a timer.

An apparatus implemented in a UE receives a paging message from a network node of a wireless network. The apparatus then transmits a request to the network node responsive to receiving the paging message. In response to transmitting the request, the apparatus receives a signaling from the network node, with the signaling indicating a new temporary identity of the UE.

摘要: A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a service network. The controller transitions the UE from a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle state to an RRC connected state, and after transitioning the UE from the RRC idle state to the RRC connected state, sends an initial Non-Access Stratum (NAS) message comprising a limited set of Information Elements (IEs) in cleartext, which are required to establish security between the UE and the service network, and a container IE carrying an initial NAS message Protocol Data Unit (PDU) ciphered with NAS security context to the service network via the wireless transceiver.

摘要: Various solutions to handling of registration rejects with respect to user equipment (UE) in mobile communications are described. A UE may transmit a first request to a first network element of a wireless network. The UE may receive a first reject from the first network element. The UE may bar the first network element in response to receiving the first reject from the first network element. The UE may transmit a second request to a second network element of the same wireless network or a different wireless network in response to receiving the first reject from the first network element. Alternatively, the UE may transmit a second request to the first network element after a period of barring time.

摘要: Solutions pertaining to user equipment (UE) behavior for UE behavior for emergency services failure due to lower layer failure are proposed. An apparatus (e.g., UE) determines that a lower layer failure occurred during a mobility and periodic registration update (MRU) procedure or a service request (SR) procedure being performed for initiating an emergency protocol data unit (PDU) session with a network for establishing an emergency call. In response, the apparatus performs one or more operations comprising a UE non-access stratum (NAS) layer in a 5th Generation Mobility Management (5GMM) protocol stack informing one or more upper layers of the 5GMM protocol stack of a failure of the MRU or SR procedure for accessing the network such that an upper layer of the 5GMM protocol stack initiates a mechanism for remedying the failure, or performing a local de-registration and attempting to initiate an initial registration for emergency services with the network.

摘要: A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception. The controller selects a PLMN via the wireless transceiver, and determines whether a predetermined ciphering algorithm is adopted for a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) security context. In response to selecting the PLMN and the predetermined ciphering algorithm being adopted for the NAS security context, the controller sends an initial NAS message in which Information Elements (IEs) are in cleartext only to the selected PLMN via the wireless transceiver.
