A method for displaying SIM card slot information for use in a device including M SIM card slots, each of which may have a SIM card inserted therein or no SIM card inserted therein. The method includes the following steps. A set of predetermined rules are first determined by the device. Statuses of the M SIM card slots corresponding to the set of predetermined rules are then acquired. Information regarding N of the M SIM card slots are displayed on a display unit of the device according to the set of predetermined rules determined by the current associated network and the acquired statuses of the M SIM card slots, where N =1.
Abstract:
An adaptive security apparatus is arranged for updating a security parameter in a database. The adaptive security apparatus includes a message receiver, a data processor, a security processor, and an adaptive parameter processor. The message receiver is arranged for receiving a message. The data processor is arranged for receiving the message from the message receiver and a security parameter from the database. The security processor is arranged for performing a deciphering process and a decoding process according to an output of the data processor. The adaptive parameter processor is arranged for updating the security parameter. Besides, an adaptive security method arranged for adaptively updating a security parameter includes: checking a status of a deciphering process and accordingly generating a checking result; and referring to the checking result to adaptively search a target pattern of the security parameter from a plurality of candidate patterns.
Abstract:
A mobile communication device supporting a plurality of Radio Access Technologies (RATs) and a plurality of radio frequencies is provided. In the mobile communication device, a Baseband processor is configured to schedule the plurality of RATs and the plurality of radio frequencies in pairs in an order for a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) selection procedure, and determine one of the pairs and repeat the determined pair in the order of the pairs during the PLMN selection procedure.

A mobile communication device is provided with a processor. The processor is configured to receive a request for starting a Mobile Originated (MO) service, determine a plurality of remaining usage quotas for the MO service, which correspond to a plurality of subscriber numbers, and select one of the subscriber numbers for starting the MO service according to the remaining usage quotas.
