摘要： A vehicle door opening and closing control device opens or closes a door of a vehicle according to a kicking motion of a leg detected by a kick sensor. A threshold is set for output from the kick sensor. Motion duration time until the output from the sensor falls below the threshold after the output from the sensor exceeds the threshold in a kicking motion is measured. Motion completion estimated time until the kicking motion is completed is calculated according to the motion duration time, for example, by assuming that motion completion estimated time=motion duration time/2. When the elapsed time after the output from the sensor falls below the threshold reaches the motion completion estimated time, opening operation or closing operation of the door starts.

The sensors are arrayed horizontally at a rear portion of a vehicle such that the detection areas of the adjacent sensors overlap with each other. If any one of the sensors detects the user and outputs a detection signal (first detection signal), a threshold for a detection signal of one of the sensors adjacent to the sensor (second detection signal) is raised and the first and second detection signals are converted to first and second binary signals, respectively. A rear door is opened if the second binary signal has an output period that is contained in an output period of the first binary signal.

摘要： A portable electronic device includes: a housing that is configured to be held by one hand of a human being; a holding detection unit that detects holding of the housing by the one hand; an input operation detection unit that detects an input operation; and a control section that outputs a control signal based on detection results of the holding detection unit and the input operation detection unit. The control section validates the input operation detection unit if the holding of the housing is detected by the holding detection unit, and after the validation, outputs a control signal based on a detection result of the input operation detection unit regardless of the detection result of the holding detection unit.
