摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a description method for efficiently representing contents of motion picture with a small data volume. The organization of the present invention (1) represents a trajectory of how each object has moved over time by using reference plane representing position information of each object, (2) sets a description unit based on a type of action of each object by using changes in shape of each object, (3) has actions of each object represented as each behavioral section, and (4) comprises a description facility capable of reading and interpreting definition of an object dependent on video contents, definition of classes of actions, and definition of interpretation of a scene by interaction of plural objects.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for using the trajectory of an object to access video contents, for example, to specify and display a specific video image scene. Such a video contents access method comprises the steps of: extracting objects from video contents; displaying movements of the objects as trajectories on a specific projection screen; specifying locations on the trajectories; and accessing a desired scene of the video contents. An apparatus is so designed that it performs the above method.

摘要: A method and image processing system are disclosed which simulate a hair style selected from among a number of prestored hair images in association with a facial image. The selected hair image includes an interior perimeter to be positioned adjacent to the facial image and a first plurality of associated feature points distributed along the interior perimeter of the hair image. A subset of the first plurality of feature points are disposed at locations at which the hair image is intended to abut, but not substantially overlap the facial image. The size and orientation of the selected hair image are automatically corrected with respect to the facial image. A second plurality of feature points distributed along the facial perimeter are then determined, which each correspond to one of the subset of feature points. One or more facial perimeter vectors are constructed by connecting neighboring feature points within the second plurality of feature points. Similarly, one or more hair perimeter vectors are constructed by connecting neighboring feature points within the subset of feature points. The hair image is automatically transformed by displaying each of a plurality of pixels within the hair image at a transformed location with respect to the facial perimeter vectors determined from an original position of the pixel with respect to the hair perimeter vectors. In response to the transformation of the hair image, the transformed hair image is displayed superimposed on the facial image.

摘要: It is intended to provide a safe and efficient method of producing a virus which is free from animal-origin components in the whole process from culturing adhesive cells to producing the virus on an industrial scale by the cell culture. Namely, a method of producing a virus comprising: adhering adhesive cells to a support which has a polypeptide (P) having at least one cell-adhesive minimum amino acid sequence (X) per molecule, and is free from animal-origin components; culturing the adhesive cells in a medium free from animal-origin components; subculturing the cultured adhesive cells using a cell dispersing agent free from animal-origin components; and then inoculating and proliferating a virus in the cells obtained by culturing the adhesive cells.

摘要: A carrier for cell culture is provided which improves the cell proliferativity in serum-free culture and which is free from risk from infection factor contamination. The gist of the features of the present invention is to be formed of a crosslinked poly (meth) acrylic acid (salt) particle (A) and an artificial polypeptide (P) having at least one cell-adhesive minimal amino acid sequence (X) in one molecule and to have a water retention value of from 2 to 50 g/g. The (A) is preferably a particle produced by reversed phase suspension polymerization of an aqueous monomer solution containing (meth)acrylic acid and/or an alkali metal salt of (meth)acrylic acid. The (P) preferably has at least one auxiliary amino acid sequence (Y) in one molecule of the (P). The (X) is preferably an Arg Gly Asp sequence.
