Abstract: A shaft sealing mechanism (11) that partitions an annular space (14) that is formed between a fixed part (12) and a rotating shaft (13) into a high-pressure-side region and a low-pressure-side region, that obstructs the flow of a fluid (G), and that is provided with: a plurality of annularly laminated thin-plate seal pieces (22) that are fixed to an annular seal housing (21) that is provided to the fixed part and are in sliding contact with the rotating shaft; and an annular low-pressure-side plate (26) that is sandwiched and held such that a low-pressure-side gap (δL) is formed between the seal housing and a low-pressure-side side edge part (22d) of the thin-plate seal pieces. The thin-plate seal pieces have a thick part (31) that is formed further to the inside in the radial direction of the rotating shaft than an inner-circumferential-side tip part (26a) of the low-pressure-side plate.

Abstract: A sealing device seals a gap between an outer circumferential surface of a rotor and an inner circumferential surface of a stator. The sealing device includes a sealing ring provided on the stator and having a free-cutting material, in which a convex portion and a concave portion are alternately formed in an axial direction, on a surface facing the rotor; a plurality of radial fins protruding radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the rotor; and oblique fins which obliquely protrude from the outer circumferential surface of the rotor toward both ends of the free-cutting material of the sealing ring in the axial direction from the outside of the both ends.

Abstract: A seal segment includes a retainer extending in a circumferential direction of a rotary shaft on an outer circumferential side of the rotary shaft; a first seal body which has a plurality of first thin plate seal pieces extending inward in a radial direction from the retainer and laminated in the circumferential direction; a high-pressure side plate; a low-pressure side plate; and a second seal body having a plurality of second thin plate seal pieces which are laminated at an end portion of the retainer in the circumferential direction, extend inward in the radial direction, and have fluttering resistance higher than the first thin plate seal piece. The high-pressure side plate and the low-pressure side plate cover at least a part of the second seal body in the circumferential direction.

Abstract: A clearance-control-type seal structure including a plurality of arc-shaped grooves (23) formed side by side in the axial direction with respect to an inner circumferential surface of a housing (22) of a turbine; and abradable seal rings (11, 12) having fitting parts (11a, 12a) that are fitted into the grooves so as to leave a prescribed gap, that have extended parts (11b, 12b) that are exposed from the housing in the radial direction toward the inside and expand in the axial direction, and that, during operation, due to back pressure inside the grooves, receive a force that moves in the radial direction toward the inside. One extended part has a protruding part extending even further in the axial direction toward the upstream side, and the other extended part has formed in an outer circumferential surface of a downstream-side end part thereof a recessed part that corresponds to the protruding part.

Each of the thin plates has a thin-plate tip surface facing the outer peripheral surface of the rotor; a first side plate disposed so as to face the high-pressure space and covering outer peripheral regions of first side surfaces; and a second side plate disposed so as to face the low-pressure space and covering outer peripheral regions of second side surfaces. The first side surface of each of the thin plates is covered with the first side plate in a region extending further to an inner side, in a radial direction of the rotor, than a region of the second side surface covered with the second side plate.
