Abstract: In an alignment state indicating apparatus and method according to the present invention, scanning is performed by means of a scanner, raw data is formed through light incident into the scanner, 3D data is formed through the raw data, and alignment is performed. When it is determined that such an alignment process of 3D data is not performed normally, the alignment state indicating apparatus and method according to the present invention provide visual feedback to a user on an alignment error in the form of a specific pattern, thereby allowing the user to quickly recognize whether to perform the alignment. Accordingly, the alignment state indicating apparatus and method have the advantage of improving the reliability of scanning by allowing the user to scan an object closely.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for self-investigating an optical element embedded in an intraoral scanner, and a system using the same. The reliability of an intraoral scanner may decrease due to foreign matter attached to an optical element. Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a prescribed method for investigating foreign matter attached to an optical element, and a system using the same, wherein an alarm providing notification of the need to inspect the optical element is generated when it is determined that foreign matter has stained the optical element. According to said investigation method and system, a user of an intraoral scanner can automatically determine the presence or absence of foreign matter when scanning an object (patient's affected area), and thus can service the optical element or replace a part in which the corresponding component is formed. Therefore, there is an advantage of improving the scanning efficiency and data reliability of the intraoral scanner.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a three-dimensional intraoral scanner which, in particular, includes: a case which may be drawn in and out of the oral cavity, and has an opening for introducing, into the case, via an end part thereof, the appearance of the oral cavity (hereinafter, image) in the form of light; at least one camera arranged inside the case, and allowing the light introduced via the opening of the case to pass; a light projector which is arranged on one side of the at least one camera and which radiates light into the oral cavity via the opening; an optical element provided to be rotatable while tilting so as to reflect or bend the path of the light from the at least one camera and the light projector from inside the case; and a light path change unit for moving the optical element so as to be adjustable. Therefore, the three-dimensional intraoral scanner may easily obtain image data for the entire oral cavity of a patient.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a three-dimensional oral scanner. In particular, the present invention comprises: a case which can be drawn in and out of an oral cavity and has an opening formed in a manner such that the shape of the inside of the oral cavity (hereinafter, abbreviated as “image”) is introduced to the inside in the form of light through one end thereof; a pair of lenses disposed inside the case and spaced apart from each other in the width direction of the case so as to pass light incident from one end of the case in different paths; a pair of imaging boards having an imaging sensor for imaging the respective lights transmitted through the pair of lenses and disposed in close contact with a widthwise side wall and the other widthwise side wall of the case; and a pair of light path changing units arranged to change the respective paths of the lights transmitted through the pair of lenses toward the imaging board. As such, it is possible to manufacture an oral scanner to be slim overall, while providing the advantage of maximizing the utilization of the internal space of the oral scanner.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for acquiring a three-dimensional (3D) image including: acquiring a 3D primary image of an object from two-dimensional (2D) primary image data acquired by first and second cameras when a predetermined pattern is projected on the object by a projector and a 2D primary image of the pattern-projected object is acquired by the first and second cameras, and then converting it into a 2D re-viewpoint image; correcting a missing area in the 2D re-viewpoint image corresponding to the 3D data missing area for compensating for a 3D data missing area caused by a curvature of the object and the points of view of the first and second cameras; and generating a corrected 3D image by referring to the 2D primary image data acquired by the first or second camera and the corrected 2D re-viewpoint image information.
