    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for UE performing MAC partial reset during cell switch by LTM. In one novel aspect, the UE performs partial MAC reset by keeping a set of MAC procedures. In another novel aspect, the UE keeps the HARQ process initiated by the source cell for the cell switch by LTM. In one embodiment, the UE associates one or more HARQ entities of the source cell to one or more component carriers (CCs) of the target cell after switching the UE serving cell to the target cell. In one embodiment, the UE obtains association information by receiving association information from the network, or by a linkage between CCs of the source cell group and the target cell group when no SCell changes or the target PCell is a source SCell or by deriving the association information based on the difference of current slot/symbol/SFN.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for sidelink (SL) transmission in SL unlicensed frequency bands (SL-U). In one novel aspect, one and/or multiple starting symbols within a slot is supported for SL-U to start a transmission. In one embodiment, the physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) is configured to be transmitted on each starting symbol within a slot. In another embodiment, only physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) is transmitted on the starting symbols other than the first starting symbol within a slot. In one novel aspect, PSCCH is transmitted within one sub-channel. In one embodiment, the PSCCH is transmitted on a fixed subchannel of each RB set of the occupied BWP. In another embodiment, the PSCCH is transmitted on a fixed subchannel of one preconfigured RB set. In another novel aspect, the UE sets the CAPC value to be one for the physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH).

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided RLF detection for SL-U transceiving. In one novel aspect, HARQ-based RLF detection and/or LBT-based RLF detection is performed for SL-U RLF. HARQ based SL-U RLF procedure increases DTX for each PSSCH or PSCCH and disregards detected DTX on PSFCH or increases DTX for each PSFCH absence. In one embodiment, a DTX threshold value is modified. In one embodiment, the LBT based RLF procedure detects and reports an LBT failure for an RB set by the PHY layer; determines a consistent LBT (C-LBT) for the RB set based on a C-LBT threshold at the MAC layer and determines an RLF when all configured RB sets for the SL connection is determined to be C-LBT. In another novel aspect, multiple PSFCH occasions are configured for one PSSCH/PSCCH at a consecutive symbol level, a non-consecutive symbol level, a consecutive slot level or a non-consecutive slot level.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for remaining minimum system information (RMSI) reception. The method can include receiving a PBCH carrying a beam index (SBI) and indicating configuration information of a sequence of RMSI PDCCH monitoring occasions. The PBCH is carried in an SS block of an SS block burst set. The configuration information indicates an RMSI offset (D) between a timing reference and a slot carrying the RMSI PDCCH monitoring occasion at the beginning of the sequence of the RMSI PDCCH monitoring occasions, and an RMSI interval (T) between two RMSI PDCCH monitoring occasions in the sequence of RMSI PDCCH monitoring occasions. The method further includes determining a timing of a first RMSI PDCCII monitoring occasion in the sequence of RMSI PDCCH monitoring occasion according to the SBI and the configuration information.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for the UE performs restriction procedures for accurate sidelink CSI report using MAC CE. In one embodiment, the UE stops sending SL CSI if it is larger than the configured delay budget to address the out-of-date issue. In one embodiment, the UE starts a prohibit timer upon transmission of the first SL CSI report and prohibits generating a second SL CSI report on MAC CE before the prohibit timer expires. In another embodiment, the UE prohibits generating of a second SL CSI report before a success transmission of the first SL CSI report. In yet another embodiment, the UE includes in the SL CSI report at least one reference elements comprising a version number of the SL CSI report and a time stamp of the SL CSI report.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for repeated transmission. In one novel aspect, the RV sequence is selected from a predefined set of RV sequences for the repeated transmission.     Abstract: Methods are provided for HARQ with channel repetitions. In one novel aspect, the user equipment (UE) receives the resource grant and determines the type of the grant as being the initial resource grant or the secondary resource grant. The initial resource grant carries full control information and the secondary resource grant carries partial control information. In some embodiments, the determination of the type of the grant is based on the RNTI or the payload size. In another embodiment, the UE performs data retransmission based on information from the secondary resource grant and the initial resource grant. In another novel aspect, the UE receives higher layer, such the RRC layer. The UE subsequently receives UL or DL secondary resource grant for both initial transmission and the re-transmission. The UE combines the parameters in the UE-specific configuration and the received secondary resource grants for its UL transmission or DL reception.

    Abstract: A method of sidelink communications can include receiving at a user equipment (UE) a configuration for a first resource pool indicating a first size of a first first-stage sidelink control information (SCI) in terms of a number of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols and a second size of the first first-stage SCI in terms of a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs). The first resource pool can be divided into slots in time domain and sub-channels each occupying a set of PRBs in frequency domain. The first first-stage SCI having the first size of the number of OFDM symbols and the second size of the number of PRBs indicated by the configuration for the first resource pool can be transmitted within a first slot and a first sub-channel of the first resource pool.
