Abstract: A synergetic communication method for discovery procedure between relay node and source user equipment (UE) is proposed. The network node may generate the resource configuration for discovery procedure and allocate the resource configuration for discovery procedure to a UE. The UE may transmit the resource configuration for discovery procedure to at least one relay node. Thus, the relay node is able to obtain the resource configuration for discovery procedure from the UE.

Abstract: A synergetic communication method for capability reporting in relay communications is proposed. A user equipment (UE) may detect the relay node(s). In an event that a trigger condition is triggered, the UE may transmit the capability report associated with the detected relay node to the network node. The network node may generate the resource configuration based on the capability report from the UE. Therefore, the network node is able to obtain the capability information of the relay node even if the relay node has limited capability, e.g., the relay node is a layer 0 (L0) relay node or a layer 1 (L1) relay node.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a serving base station receives, from a UE, a measurement of a DL-RSTD with respect to a first TRP and a second TRP. The serving base station sends the DL-RSTD to a location management function, wherein the location management function further receives a first RTOA of an SRS arriving at the first TRP and a second RTOA of the SRS arriving at the second TRP. The serving base station receives, from the location management function, a relative time difference calculated based on the DL-RSTD, the first RTOA, and the second RTOA. The relative time difference indicates a synchronization error between the first TRP and the second TRP.

Abstract: A method for recovering from Sidelink relay failure is provided. A relay User Equipment (UE) detects a Radio Link Failure (RLF) or a Handover (HO) failure associated with a first base station when providing a relay service for a remote UE to indirectly communicate with the first base station. The relay UE sends a first command to the remote UE to indicate suspension of the relay service. The relay UE performs a Radio Resource Control (RRC) re-establishment procedure with the first base station or a second base station based on a cell search result. The relay UE sends a second command to the remote UE to indicate that the relay service is associated with the first base station or the second base station with which the RRC re-establishment procedure is performed.

Abstract: A synergetic communication method for relay node configuration and protocol stacks is proposed. A network node may generate a scheduling which indicates the relay node configurations associated with an aggregated group based on the capability information from a user equipment (UE). The scheduling may comprise different configurations for the relay nodes in the aggregated group. In addition, the network node may transmit or schedule the scheduling for controlling the aggregated group to the UE. The UE may transmit the capability information associated with the relay node(s) in the aggregated group to the network node. Therefore, the network node is able to configure the configuration for the relay node with limited capability.

The target UE may request a transmission configuration for such reference signals from one or more peer UEs. The peer UEs may determine their own transmission configuration(s) for the reference signals, potentially taking into account any request received from the target UE and/or the measurement capabilities of the target UE. The capability information, reference signal configuration information, and measurement results may be exchanged among the UEs. Related positioning protocols may be carried over transport layers of the sidelink interface.

Abstract: A synergetic communication method for relay node identification (ID) acquisition is proposed. The network node may generate a configuration based on the relay node information from a user equipment (UE) to configure the relay node ID for the relay node in an aggregated group. The network node may schedule the operations of the devices of the aggregated group based on the configuration. The UE may detect the relay node and assign the relay node ID configured by the network node to the relay node in the aggregated group. Therefore, when the relay node in the aggregated group cannot directly obtain the relay node ID from the network node, the UE can assist of obtaining the relay node ID from the network node and assigning the relay node ID to the relay node in the aggregated group.
