    Abstract: A method includes transmitting, by a user device associated with a user to a transportation service provider, a request for a service comprising entry into a controlled area associated with the service. The method further includes receiving, by the user device from the transportation service provider, a token to allow the user device to connect with the service and to allow entry into the controlled area associated with the service. The method further includes transmitting, by the user device to a security device associated with the transportation service provider, the token. The security device restricts access to the controlled area associated with the service. The method further includes receiving, by the user device from the security device responsive to the transmitting of the token, the access to the controlled area associated with the service.

    Abstract: A method includes transmitting, to a driver computing device associated with a driver, navigational data to direct the driver to a first pick-up location and to direct the driver from the first pick-up location to a first drop-off location along a first route to fulfill a first transportation request associated with a first user. The method further includes determining that the first route is to be modified, identifying a drop-off area associated with the first drop-off location, and selecting a second drop-off location and a second route for the first user. The first drop-off location and the second drop-off location are located within the drop-off area. The method further includes transmitting, to the driver computing device, updated navigational data to direct the driver to the second drop-off location along the second route to fulfill the first transportation request.

    Abstract: A method includes, transmitting, prior to an end time of an event to a plurality of driver computing devices, navigational data to direct the plurality of driver computing devices to navigate to a location of the event to transport passengers. The transmitting is based on a schedule for arriving at the location of the event prior to receipt of transportation requests. The method further includes, subsequent to the transmitting of the navigational data, communicating with an event information source of a second server device during the event to obtain updated information regarding how much time is remaining prior to the end time of the event. The method further includes, responsive to generating an updated schedule based on the updated information received during the event, directing the plurality of driver computing devices to the location of the event based on the updated schedule.
