Abstract:
The present invention relates to a paper or paperboard product comprising a furnish wherein said furnish comprises a cationic polymer in an amount of above 1.5% by weight, an anionic polymer and microfibrillated cellulose. The invention further relates to a process for the production of said product.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for producing a paper or paperboard product which process comprises the steps of, providing a furnish comprising fibers, adding starch to the furnish, adding microfibrillated cellulose to the furnish, conducting the furnish to a wire in order to form a web, wherein the starch and microfibrillated cellulose is added separately to the furnish.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a high quality paperboard comprising at least two plies, a first ply having good surface properties and strength, and a second ply for providing the paperboard with bulk wherein the second ply comprises hardwood CTMP. This paperboard has an internal strength and a bending resistance that is comparable with conventional high quality paperboard based on softwood CTMP. The invention also relates to products manufactured of the paperboard.
