Abstract: An outdoor unit of an air conditioner of the present invention includes a printed circuit board on which a heat generating element is mounted, a radiating block which contacts the heat generating element and includes a refrigerant path through which refrigerant passes, and a refrigerant tube connected to the radiating block to communicate with the refrigerant path. Material costs of the refrigerant tube can be reduced, and radiation performance can be improved by utilization of the whole surface of the refrigerant path as a surface for heat exchange.

Abstract: A multi-air conditioner for heating and cooling may include at least one indoor unit installed in an indoor space and comprising an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor expansion valve; an outdoor unit connected to the at least one indoor unit via a refrigerant pipeline and comprising an outdoor heat exchanger, a compressor, an outdoor expansion valve, and a four-way valve; and at least one leak shut-off valve provided on the refrigerant pipeline, that blocks a flow of refrigerant in the refrigerant pipeline when a refrigerant leak from the refrigerant pipeline occurs in the indoor space. The outdoor unit may decrease a pressure of the refrigerant pipeline when a refrigerant leak occurs from the refrigerant pipeline. Therefore, it is possible to minimize an amount of refrigerant leakage when there is a refrigerant leak in the indoor space.

When a portion of the indoor unit performs a heating operation, and the other portion of the indoor unit performs a cooling operation, when a total capacity required for the indoor unit is equal to or less than a set capacity, the first pump or the second pump operates, and when the total capacity required for the indoor unit exceeds the set capacity, the first pump and the second pump operate.
