Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a defrosting device, including a heating unit provided in an evaporator; and a heat pipe, both end portions of which are connected to an inlet and an outlet of the heating unit, respectively, and at least part of which is disposed adjacent to a cooling tube to dissipate heat to the cooling tube of the evaporator due to high-temperature working fluid heated and transferred by the heating unit, wherein the heating unit includes a heater case provided with a vacant space therein, and provided with the inlet and the outlet at positions separated from each other, respectively, along a length direction; and a heater attached to an outer surface of the heater case to heat working fluid within the heater case.

Abstract: A defrosting apparatus comprises a heater case comprising a heat pipe seating part formed to extend from one surface thereof in a recessed shape and a heater receiving part formed to extend to be parallel with the heat pipe seating part. The defrosting apparatus also includes a heater which is mounted in the heater receiving part so as to emit heat when power is applied thereto, a heat pipe which has a flow path through which a working fluid filled therein flows, which has a part seated on the heat pipe seating part, and which is disposed to be adjacent to a cooling pipe of an evaporator such that heat is radiated to the cooling pipe of the evaporator by means of the working fluid at a high temperature which is heated by the heater and then is transferred, and a holder which is detachably coupled to the heater case so as to cover the heat pipe seated on the heat pipe seating part.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a defrosting device, including: a heating unit provided at a lower portion of the evaporator; and a heat pipe connected to an inlet and an outlet of the heating unit, respectively, and having at least part thereof disposed adjacent to a cooling pipe of the evaporator such that the cooling pipe of the evaporator is heated by a working fluid of high temperature which is transferred in a heated state by the heating unit, wherein the heating unit includes: a heater case extending in one direction to be arranged in a left and right direction of the evaporator, and having the inlet and the outlet at both sides thereof; and a heater provided with an active heating part accommodated within the heater case and actively generating heat to heat the working fluid, and a passive heating part extending from the active heating part and heated up to temperature lower than temperature of the active heating part, and wherein the inlet is formed at a position away from the active heating part to prevent the working fluid returned after flowing along the heat pipe from being introduced directly into the active heating part.

Abstract: Disclosed is an evaporator, comprising: a heating tube left as an empty space between first and second case sheets, which form an evaporator case, so as not to be overlapped with a cooling tube, and forming a heating passage in which a working liquid for defrosting flows; and a heater attached to the outer surface, which corresponds to the heating tube, of the evaporator case so as to heat the working liquid inside the heating tube. The heating tube can have a structure which an inlet and an outlet are respectively formed at both sides of a heater attachment part in the longitudinal direction and both end portions of a passage part are respectively connected to the inlet and the outlet, or can have a structure in which an opening is formed at one side of the heater attachment part, the working liquid heated by the heater is discharged through the opening, and the cooled working liquid is returned. The structures can form the heating passage, enabling the working liquid to circulate therethrough, without forming the inlet and the outlet, which are respectively connected to both end portions of the passage part, to be parallel at one side of the heater attachment part.

Abstract: A refrigerator includes a cabinet that defines a freezing compartment and a refrigerating compartment, and an evaporator installed in the freezing compartment. The evaporator includes: an evaporator case that defines a food storage space formed therein; a cooling tube located at the evaporator case in a predetermined pattern and configured to receive a coolant; and a sheath heater disposed outside of the evaporator case to be adjacent to at least one surface of the evaporator case, the sheath heater being configured to generate heat such that heat for defrosting is transferred to the evaporator case. The sheath heater reduces the defrosting time to maintain the freshness of food, increases the cooling efficiency, and reduces power consumption. The defrosting efficiency by the sheath heater is improved by a reflection member, and an inflow of heat, generated when defrosting, into the refrigerating compartment is reduced by a heat insulation member.
