Abstract:
A method of producing a newspaper having at least one section which is formed from at least one centrally folded printed sheet. The following steps are carried out according to the invention: a) individual sequentially printed sheets, which are intended for forming the individual sections of the newspaper, are fed continuously to a first collecting station, and sheets which are assigned to one common section are positioned one above the other (collected) to form a sheet stack; b) a finished sheet stack is conveyed away from the first collecting station, a first sheet of a further section being fed to the first collecting station while the preceding sheet stack is being conveyed away from the first collecting station or once it has been conveyed away therefrom; c) the finished sheet stack is folded in order to produce a section; d) the section is deposited in a second collecting station such that it comes to rest on, if appropriate, an already deposited section; e) the steps a) to d) are repeated, if appropriate, until all the sections of the newspaper have been completed and positioned one upon the other to form a section stack.
Abstract:
In a drawer (20) of a high-speed printer, individual sheets (24) supplied in an imbricated stream (30) are fed from below to a stack (22) consisting of individual sheets (24). For continuous feed, a conveying means (28) is arranged in the drawer (22). The individual sheets (24) are transferred to the conveying means (28) from a delivery conveyor (36) at a transition point or interface (38).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of moving printed material web includes two processing arrangements arranged one above the other that are optional in operation. A material web is processed either in the upper, first processing arrangement or in the lower, second processing arrangement. In the processing section belonging to the first processing arrangement, the material web is folded about a line parallel to its advancement direction. In the processing section belonging to the second processing arrangement, the material web is separated, along a line parallel to its advancement direction, into two material-web strands, which are then positioned one above the other. The two processing sections having in common a pair of braking rollers and a pair of drawing rollers and also a longitudinal-cutter.
Abstract:
In order to form two longitudinal folds in a material web, there are two plow folding units which extend in the vertical direction and are arranged behind one another in the movement direction of the material web. Each of the plow folding units has two guide elements for the material web, which guide elements are arranged in the manner of a gable or saddle roof. The guide elements are arranged behind one another in the movement direction of the material web and enclose a folding angle between them. The folding angle between the guide elements of the second plow folding unit which is arranged downstream of the first plow folding unit has a magnitude of at least 100°, preferably of at least 140°.

Abstract:
A folded, bound printed product comprising a plurality of printed subproducts is produced in that an initial product is printed sequentially in such a manner as to produce a series of printed subproducts which are to be arranged one after the other, the initial product has a weakening line or the printed subproducts are provided with a weakening line, and the printed subproducts are collated, folded and bound.
