Abstract:
New phthalocyanine dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## wherein Phth is a copper phthalocyanine or cobalt phthalocyanine moiety; x is a number from 0 to 3; y is a number from 1 to 4 and the sum of x and y is 4 or less; the thiocyanate group is in the meta or para-position to the amino; and addition products thereof formed with water in the presence of acids; are prepared by converting a phthalocyaninecarboxylic acid into the corresponding acid halide and condensing the acid halide with m- or p-thiocyanoaniline in an inert organic diluent; and the new dyestuffs are for dyeing and printing a material of natural or regenerated cellulose.
Abstract:
Dyeing and printing with sulfur dyestuffs involves dissolving the dyestuff by reduction. The dissolved reduced dyestuff is applied to the material to be dyed or printed and the dyestuff is reconverted into in soluble dyestuff by oxidation. The present invention improves the prior art by using as the dyestuff reducing agent a compound of the formula ##STR1## or an alkali metal salt thereof, wherein R is --H or --OH and R' is --H, --CH.sub.3 or --CH.sub.2 OH.
Abstract:
An improved process for production of discharge resist prints on textile material which contain hydrophobic fibers wherein at least one disperse dyestuff dischargeable to white discharge-resistant disperse dyestuff is applied, in the form of a dye liquor or printing paste, to the textile material and a discharge resist printing paste is printed on the material in the desired pattern, and the material is subsequently subjected to heat treatment at 100.degree. to 230.degree. C., wherein the improvement comprises the discharge resist printing paste containing, as the discharging agent, at least one salt of hydrogen sulphide, polysulphanes, compounds have a thiolate group of the formula --S.sup..crclbar. or a tautomerizable thio-group of the formula .dbd.S, and mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
Bisazo dyestuffs of the 2,6-diaminopyridine series, wherein the azo moieties are interconnected by an aromatic moiety preparation thereof and their utility in textile printing lacquers, printing dyes and in bulk dyeing of synthetics.
