A control portion of an image forming apparatus creates an image list for performing the perfect-binding imposition of the images of the pages on the sheets so that the scores formed on the sheets are on the external surface of the center-folded sheets, for the sheets each having a size twice the size specified as each of the sheets on which the images of the book body are to be formed, when a book-body stacking portion accommodates the sheets center-folded by a folding portion along scores formed for every sheet from a predetermined direction by a scoring portion for each of the sheets having the images formed thereon by the image forming portion, and a bookbinding portion uses a glue-on cover to perform case binding of a bundle of the sheets glued to the side of the spine.

An image forming apparatus may include: a sheet storage that may store a sheet; a first sheet sensor that may determine a sheet size of the sheet stored in the sheet storage; a feeder that may feed the sheet from the sheet storage to a transport path based on the sheet size determined by the first sheet sensor; an image former that may form an image on the sheet fed to the transport path; a second sheet sensor that may (i) be provided downstream of the image former on the transport path, (ii) read the sheet in the transport path, and (iii) adjust the sheet size of the sheet; and a hardware processor that may perform adjustment of image formation on the sheet based on the sheet size adjusted by the second sheet sensor.

An image test apparatus includes an image reader which reads paper on which an image is formed from an image formed surface side to acquire test image data including an entire region of the paper, and a hardware processor which detects a defect in the test image data by comparing the test image data acquired by the image reader with correct image data, the hardware processor detecting a defect in the test image data in a region where the test image data overlaps with the correct image data after aligning positions of the test image data and the correct image data by aligning positions of images to each other.

An image processing apparatus is capable of judging a pass/fail for an inspection image which is an image of a job used for printing on a recording medium, by comparing the inspection image with an original image correlated with the inspection image and the image processing apparatus includes a hardware processor that judges a pass/fail for an image, wherein in accordance with a predetermined inspection mode set for the job, the hardware processor judges the inspection image to be abnormal when the inspection image and the original image match, and judges the inspection image to be nominal when the inspection image and the original image do not match.

An image forming system includes an image forming unit to print an image on a sheet based on a job, a postprocessing unit to carry out postprocessing to the sheet based on the job, and a control unit to manage the job, and to control the print and the postprocessing, the control unit can determine whether the postprocessing execution job includes an applying prohibition sheet or not, and if a predetermined condition such as a page other than first and last pages is satisfied in predetermined postprocessing such as bundle processing, permits the job for the predetermined postprocessing to carry out an output such as insertion of the applying prohibition sheet, for which the postprocessing is prohibited in applying due to a difference in sheet size from a prescribed size and the like, into a bundle of applying permission sheets.
