Abstract: A microchannel compact heat exchanging system is provided. The system includes a ribbed microchannel including a plurality of radial ribs and fins. A ratio between a thickness of each radial rib and a radius of the ribbed microchannel is within a first predefined range. A water-based nanofluid in the ribbed microchannel is prepared with polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymer, calcium chloride salt, and a graphene oxide carbon-based material. The system includes two plenums connected to the ribbed microchannel.
