    摘要: A magnetic writing/reading apparatus is provided with a holder which holds a cassette containing a magnetic tape, the cassette being inserted into the holder. A locking mechanism locks the cassette at a predetermined position in the holder when the cassette is to be loaded in the magnetic writing/reading apparatus, the locking mechanism being released when the cassette is to be ejected from the magnetic writing/reading apparatus. Also provided with is a carrying mechanism for carrying the holder holding the cassette so that the cassette is loaded in the magnetic writing/reading apparatus, the carrying mechanism which carries the holder holding the cassette causing the holder to be returned to a position at which the cassette has been initially inserted into the holder. Further, provided is a force generating mechanism for generating a force while the cassette is loaded in the magnetic writing/reading apparatus, the force generated then being applied to the cassette appropriately so that maintenance of the loading state of the cassette and a suitable writing/reading operation using the magnetic tape in the magnetic writing/reading apparatus are ensured.

The rear panel portion (13) is provided with an outdoor air intake opening (24) and an indoor air intake opening (23) at locations close to a center of the rear panel portion (13) in the left-to-right direction. A first side panel portion (14) is provided with a supply opening (22) at a location close to the front, and a second side panel portion (15) is provided with an exhaust opening (21) at a location close to the front. A supply fan (26) is connected to the supply opening (22), and an exhaust fan (25) is connected to the exhaust opening (21). By this structure, a pressure loss at a time when air flows in the casing can be reduced.

On a base plate, a pickup moving motor moves the optical pickup head in a disk radial direction. A motor plate supports the spindle motor. A spacer holder has a small thickness, and is secured to the base plate. A spacer boss is disposed to project from the spacer holder toward the motor plate. A first hole is formed through the spacer boss. A retaining screw has first and second shaft portions. A screw hole is formed in the base plate, for engagement with the first shaft portion inserted through the first hole, to retain the retaining screw. A great diameter peripheral surface is positioned at the second shaft portion, for applying pressure to fit the spacer boss tightly on the motor plate. Further, the spacer is formed from plastic material.
