摘要: An authentication system uses authentication tokens to allow access by third party applications to a printing device. A mobile device includes a mobile application that scans a graphical code to obtain identification information for the printing device. The mobile application requests that the third party application generate an authentication token. The mobile application stores the authentication token for the third party application and the identification information at a document processing platform, which is separate from the printing device or application. The printing device provides its identification information to the document processing platform to receive the authentication token. The printing device provides the authentication token to the third party application to establish a connection to process print jobs through the mobile device.

An application may print or perform other operations from the cloud-based server to a printing device. The port monitor uploads data for a document to the cloud-based server. Once the data for the document is uploaded, a claim code is generated by the cloud-based server. The port monitor receives the claim code. The port monitor initiates the launch of a browser having a uniform resource locator (URL) address for the server along with the claim code. The user is authenticated using a login page and the claim code associated to the user to allow access to the document on the server.

摘要: A policy-based printing system is implemented to allow access to a private domain to print using a public domain. The private domain includes private servers that store documents. The public domain includes servers and a printing device. A public policy server uses a domain list and a protocol connection with a private authentication server to validate a user and identify which private domain to access. The public policy server retrieves a policy from a private policy server that configures the parameters for printing using the public domain. The print job data is provided to a public file server until the public policy server confirms that the print job can be sent to the printing device.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a printing device searching and management system and method. The method involves receiving a search input comprising a plurality of characters. The method also involves determining a search condition based on a first portion of the plurality of characters. The method further involves determining a command based on a second portion of the plurality of characters. Additionally, the method involves determining whether at least one printing device of the plurality of printing devices meets a criterion specified by the search condition. If at least one printing device meets the criterion, the method involves identifying one or more printing devices that meet the criterion specified by the search condition. Further, the method involves executing the determined command in association with at least one particular printing device from among the identified one or more printing devices on a device specified by the determined command.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus may receive, from an identification unit, data indicative of a biometric characteristic of a user. The image forming apparatus may also obtain, from a storage unit, information associated with the user. The information includes user-specific information and data indicative of a stored version of the biometric characteristic of the user. The image forming apparatus may further determine that the user is registered based at least on a match between the received biometric characteristic and the stored version of the biometric characteristic. Additionally, the image forming apparatus may display a portion of the user-specific information on a display unit of an image forming apparatus.
