Abstract: The present invention relates to medical image editing. In order to facilitate the medical image editing process, a medical image editing device (50) is provided that comprises a processor unit (52), an output unit (54), and an interface unit (56). The processor unit (52) is configured to provide a 3D surface model of an anatomical structure of an object of interest. The 3D surface model comprises a plurality of surface sub-portions. The surface sub-portions each comprise a number of vertices, and each vertex is assigned by a ranking value. The processor unit (52) is further configured to identify at least one vertex of vertices adjacent to the determined point of interest as an intended vertex. The identification is based on a function of a detected proximity distance to the point of interest and the assigned ranking value. The output unit (54) is configured to provide a visual presentation of the 3D surface model. The interface unit (56) is configured to determine a point of interest in the visual presentation of the 3D surface model by interaction of a user. The interface unit 56 is further configured to modify the 3D surface model by displacing the intended vertex by manual user interaction. In an example, the output unit (54) is a display configured to display the 3D surface model directly to the user (58).

Abstract: A system and method are provided for generating a predictive model for use in optimizing a clinical workflow. The predictive model may be generated as follows. Workflow metadata is obtained which is indicative of the clinical workflow. A viewer log is obtained of an image viewer used by a physician to review one or more medical images. The viewer log may be indicative of one or more viewing actions performed by the physician using the image viewer. A diagnostic value of the one or more medical images is then estimated based on the viewing actions. The above steps are performed for different clinical workflows. A machine learning technique is then applied to the resulting plurality of diagnostic values and plurality of workflow metadata to generate the predictive model. The generated predictive model is predictive of the diagnostic value of medical images acquired by a particular clinical workflow given the workflow metadata of the particular clinical workflow. Advantageously, the predictive model can be used to modify the clinical workflow so as to increase the diagnostic value of the acquired images.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system, a corresponding method and computer program for assessing outflow tract obstruction of a heart of a subject, the system comprising a unit (10) for providing a geometrical model of the heart, a unit (20) for providing a volumetric image of the heart, a unit (30) for adapting the geometrical model to the volumetric image to obtain an adapted model (32), a unit (40) for providing an implant model (44) of an implant and for constructing the implant model (44) into the adapted model (32) to obtain an enhanced model (42), a unit (60) for determining a trajectory curve (62) through an outflow tract (52), and a unit (50) for assessing outflow tract obstruction based on the adapted model (32), the enhanced model (42) and the trajectory curve (62). The invention allows for an improved assessing of an outflow tract obstruction of a heart of a subject.
